Clean, comfortable beds and located nearby Chinatown. Room was a bit small so do take note if you have big luggages. There was a small table with 2 chairs in the room which took up a bit of space. I checked in rather late and the staff manning the reception looked overworked and tired, hence he didn't come across as really welcoming and friendly. When I checked out the next morning, it was him as well but he looked better. Breakfast was quite ok with a lot of variety. A near drive to Dejima wharf. Recommended for couples or solo travelers.

It was a two-person trip with my old and bad-footed mother.
The room was clean, and there was a large bath like barrier free, and there was a handrail, and it was easy to help. Speaking of hope, the bath chair was quite low, so if you have a slightly higher chair, you can rent it, and I would be grateful.
It can't be helped because it won't be used as a help.
The toilet was different from the bath, so I could use it comfortably.
I want to use it again.

Amazing onsen, free popsicles, probiotics and noodles from 21:30 to 23:00. Room is tidy and staff are very well trained . Like any Dormy Inn, check in is at 15:00 and if you want to check in earlier prepare to pay an extra fee.
Location is easy to reach by tram from the train station, and it is just near the tram stop.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Candeo Hotel in Nagasaki, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. Nestled in the heart of Chinatown, the hotel's location is incredibly convenient, making it a fantastic choice for both leisure and business travelers.
Additionally, the hotel is just a short 2-minute walk from bus stops, making it easy to explore the rest of Nagasaki with ease.
The hotel itself is modern and impeccably clean, which greatly enhanced the comfort of my stay. The check-in process is unique as it takes place on the 11th floor. Despite the initial surprise, the process was smooth and efficient, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and professional.
The convenience of having various restaurants and convenience shops within walking distance is a significant plus. Whether you're looking for a quick snack or a full meal, you won’t have to venture far to find what you need.
Overall, my stay at Candeo Hotel was delightful. The combination of its convenient location, modern and clean facilities, and excellent service makes it a top choice for anyone visiting Nagasaki. The pictures over promise and the guest house under delivers. It is in a good location and the staff is friendly enough, but not all sleeping areas look like the pictures. Some private areas go width wise instead of lengthwise, so they have only half the floor space for standing up. And if you have an upper bunk, then the ladder takes up 20% of that floor space. Towels are not included. For the breakfast, you make the toast yourself from bread in the refrigerator. By 8:00 a.m., people are brushing their teeth and using the hair dryer in the center of the dorm room, so you won't be able to sleep.
Overall it's ok, and better than most capsule hotels. But don't let the pictures get your hopes up too high.

The hotel is located in the business district, which is very lively. Everything is available on the first floor. The sound insulation is also very good. Parking is only inconvenient. You have to park in the parking lot outside the business district. You have to go around the business district to find it. If you drive too far, you have to go around. Got it! The counter is self-service, but the lovely lady at the counter will help you chick in. I will stay here again if I have the chance.

We were pitting this hotel against other chains like Dormy Inn and Candeo Hotels.
Richmond’s value proposition is that you pay less but have less amenities. The rooms are bigger that what we were comparing with but you do not get a public bath and you do not get free drinks and noodles. For the price I think that Richmond is good in that aspect. The hotel lobby is nice and pays homage to the Dutch visiting Japan eons ago as Nagasaki was the first place they came into contact with then.
It’s a typical chain hotel, but its located along the bar and nightlife street, though the events happening around that street didn’t bother us, I believe that the price is lowered due to the location of the place.

I picked this hotel because it was right next to Nagasaki train station which made it super convenient to arrive and check-in without a hassle. The hotel is your standard Japanese style: very clean, comfortable and small. The check-in/check-out process was done via kiosk so not much customer service to rate. The price of the room was very reasonable, however, the thing I didn't like was the early checkout time at 10:00am instead of the usual 11 or noon at most other places. Other than that, this is a great hotel to stay at if you're visiting Nagasaki.

GGuest UserEverything was amaaaaaazing at our stay! Pity that we only had 1 night 😭 the hotel is brand new and the staff were all great. We were warmly welcomed by the bell desk staff at L1, he was so friendly and it was a great start. Check in was seamless! We stayed at the highest floor and the view was great. The staff surprised us with a bottle of champagne as we told them that it was a wedding anniversary celebration. The room was modern, clean, and the best! Parking is at Amu Plaza just beside the hotel. Gym facilities at L8 were brand new and clean. Overall the best experience and we would recommend everyone to stay here when they visit Nagasaki! Memorable stay and the highlight of our time in Nagasaki! We would love to visit here again! - Cassandra
RRetired Travel AgentService and attention to detail can make a difference. A truly professional hotel in every sense of the word in an excellent central Nagasaki position. Need mall food, and you are spoilt for choice. Local top Japanese restaurants were fully booked so the mall choices helped.
GGuest UserLarge hotel room! Staff were nice and friendly. This hotel provides a discount ticket to mount inasa for the awesome view! Hotel location was around a 10mins walk from nagasaki station, but was not an issue for us.
GGuest UserThe Staff are very welcoming with a vast knowledge of the local area and afar. Very friendly people. The hotel is minutes from the harbour next to a shopping mall which houses a food court in the basement with international foods as well as traditional local fayre. Next to the hotel is a Napalise Restaurant and a 7/11 supermarket.
The rooms are spacious enough for a single traveller with the usual amenities such as free drinking water, hairdryer, shower, clothing care products and for the first time ever I got a Bath-Bomb each day for the very deep bath-tub!
There are laundry machines on each floor which you enter your own made-up Personal Identification Number (PIN) 4 digits so that only you can open the machine, they take two hours for an average wash and dry for 600 Y.
I'd stay again without a doubt!!
WwwhosambirThe lobby is somewhat dated but has a retro charm to it. I stayed in a standard double room which is spacious enough for one person but would be a bit cramped for two. The room seems to have been renovated recently as the fixtures, furnishings and appliances look quite new. The small balcony overlooking Glover Street is a plus.
The staff at the front desk, concierge and the restaurant are all super nice and helpful.
The location is very convenient. The Oura Cathedral tram stop is just down the street and many attractions such as Glover Garden, Dejima, Confucius Shrine & Museum, Holland Zaka, Gunkanjima Digital Museum are within walking distance.
AAnonymous UserHotel was located right opposite the JR station (accessible via overhead bridge w lifts/escalator) and next to the bus terminal, so its a really good location if you're just stopping by Nagasaki for a night or two. Lawson and Family Mart are just next door. Room was clean and spacious, and service was good too.
As of end-May 2024, the facade of the building seemed to be undergoing some renovation but it didn't affect our stay (cleanliness and noise-wise) at all.
FFui MeiNo frills, simple yet fully functional amenities. My family thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast spread & quality of food served. Onsen quality is better than some branded hotels found in the main city area. Our first time trying Dormy Inn and w are looking forward to the next!
GGuest UserFamily of four stayed in a room with 2 double beds.
Clean and comfortable.
Plus private sauna (3200 yen per person/2 hours 30 minutes). The kids had a blast watching amazon prime on the sauna, jacuzzi, and big screen TV. (Personal account) Swimsuit, sauna hat, bathrobe, towel. Lipovitan D, Pocari, fruit water.
When I asked, they brought me a sofa bed mattress pad and a thin comforter. The staff was also nice.
The only amenities were toothbrushes and short-sleeved pajamas. There was a set of lotion etc. in the sauna, but there were only two sets even though there were four of us.
Breakfast was 1300 yen and included a set of bread, sandwiches, coffee and other drinks.
It was a refreshing business hotel.
Personally, I liked the sauna.
QQinglanyangxuIn line with the principle of ”big is the main” when booking a hotel in Japan, I decisively booked a two-bedroom one-living room. The three-day stay was very comfortable. The hotel is just opposite the Nagasaki train station, just across the overpass.
The bus stops for various tourist attractions are nearby, which is very convenient.
The bus to Fukuoka is nearby and the cost is low.
There is a large AMU next to the station, which is a department store.
The check-in policy is too Japanese. You can only check in at 4 pm on the day of check-in, and check out is 10 am the next day.
