This is a room only. If you don't like smoking, this might not be the place for you. If you don't mind smoking, this is a quiet hotel near the station. The welcome drink is appreciated.

The price is cheap and good. You can walk from the station. The facilities are old, so the bathrooms are being repaired. They had cleaned the room and changed the linens, but there was a big spider on the window. This is not something you should check. I think it was just my room.

It seemed a little hard to find on foot from Nagano Station. In reality, it was only a few minutes' walk, so it was fine to walk there if the weather was good. The hotel reception was on the second floor, up the stairs in front, but check-in was smooth and they even changed my smoking room to a non-smoking room if I requested. The hotel itself felt old, and it was a little strange to have a bathroom next to the bed, but it wasn't a problem if you just wanted to sleep, and the room was quite spacious so it didn't feel cramped. By the way, it was about a 10-minute walk to the main approach to Zenkoji Temple, and about 20 minutes to the temple gate, so it was convenient for walking around.
