Great dining experience with excellent English and Japanese service. Onsen is very large and room too. Can refurbish a bit for room bathing and private onsen area.

We hadden dit hotel gekozen om een complete japanse ervaring te hebben. Dat is gelukt. Wij hadden een traditionele japans ingerichte kamer met tatami. In de middag werd op de kamer thee geserveerd, tijdens het diner werd de kamer ingericht met ‘futons’ om op te slapen. Verder was de kamer van alle westerse gemakken voorzien. Een eigen ‘ofuro’ buiten op het balkon was heerlijk om bij te komen van de inspanningen van de dag. Heerlijk uitgebreid japans ontbijt en ‘kaiseki’ diner. Zeer hulpvaardige en persoonlijke bediening met advies over wat te bezoeken. De plaats Nagahama heeft een leuke binnenstad en de boottocht over lake Biwa naar het eilandje Chikubushima is een aanrader. We werden door het hotel naar de haven gebracht. Dit hotel was voor ons een fantastische ervaring

I cannot recommend this ryokan highly enough. From being picked up from Nagahama train station, to being shuttled back to the station the next day (at the insistence of the manager), the experience was above and beyond any expectations I had about our stay here. As a family of four travelling, we were very comfortable with our stay here, albeit for one night, which was a welcome relief from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and even Hakone in comparison. Our stay was for the night of 29 December 2023. The walk along Lake Biwa and a visit to Nagahama Castle in the early hours of a winter's morning were refreshing and very convenient to the accommodation. The staff were very welcoming and it seemed they couldn't do enough for you to ensure your wellbeing and comfort. Dinner and breakfast were Japanese style, very tasty and filling. If you're after somewhere to stay off the beaten track and a little different, I strongly suggest a stay at Hamakogetsu, Nagahama.

口コミの評価に騙されました。 食事はどれもイマイチ、美味しくない。 味が甘かったり濃かったり、新鮮味がなかったり、 冷めてたり、火が通らなかったり、お粥がシャビシャビすぎ、デザートも子供だまし。味噌汁など出汁がきいてない？ 日がたつにして、お金を溝に捨てた気がしてモヤモヤ。 他の旅館で同じ値段で いいとこをソコソコ知ってるので、、、残念。 知らない人がしたり顔で、口コミしてるのでしょう。 びわ湖の西側はよかったのにね。 東側は注意しなくては。

浜湖月さんには11月21日に御世話に成りました。3階のとても景色の良い部屋・・ 露天風呂の湯船も大きく大きな私でも余裕でした。この日は彦根観光し18時頃に チエックインゆっくりと大風呂に入り食事タイム・・料理も大変美味しく食べきれない程の量でした。夫婦共に酒好き食事の際は魔王のロックをたっぷりと頂きました。魔王そんなに安くて良いのかな？？酒好きは美味しい料理と酒で幸せでした。 朝食も通常よりも早く頂ける段取りをして頂き有難かったです。 2日目は朝9時前には京都に着き旅行カバンはプリンスカウンタよりホテルへ・・ 手ぶらに近い状況で京都探索、夜は先斗町で夫婦で食事しながらまたお酒・・ 3日目の23日は再度京都へ、金閣寺ー北野天満宮ー祐斎亭ー最終 東福寺のライトUPを見て旅行を終了しました。 浜湖月さんは何しろ最高の宿でしたよ・・ 又、桜の季節に御世話になろうかと思います。
