I learned about the beauty of nature in the northern part of Lake Biwa. All rooms have an open-air bath. The bath is wide open to the lake, so you have to be careful when there are boats out, but the view is open and spacious. You need to heat it up, but you can use it anytime. There was a Yogibo cushion and a massage chair in the room. The food served in the room was average, but delicious. The staff were polite and I had a comfortable stay. It was the time of year when mosquitoes start to appear, so I wasn't bitten, but I might have better borrowed mosquito coils from the inn. Very nice view of the lake. Very helpful staff. The rooms have a private onsen hot tub on the balcony. The rooms have tatami and are set up to sleep on the floor. You can request a bed frame to elevate the futon, but it's better to request a bed when making the reservation (although you may enjoy sleeping on a futon, Japanese style).
