Kabini River Lodge part of the Junglelodges resorts around Karnataka, is a place where every nature lover will enjoy. June and early monsoon has brought in so much greenery all around. The evening and morning jeep safari does offer good wildlife sighting even around the lush green areas. Wild Dogs, Elephants, Indian Gaur, plenty of deers and peacocks, birds etc.. We had lovely guides in Nagesh and Bheemanna, who offer good insights during the safari’s. The food at Kabini River Lodge is pretty good and lots of variety both for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. And away from traffic and pollution.. just a good relaxation too.. We missed the sighting of tigers and leopards.., hopefully the next time

Really Kabini river lodge was wonderful place to stay with family for vacation. The rooms were very spacious and neat. Location of the lodge was near river. Management was very friendly. Food was nice and delicious. Well planned road and boat safari. my kids were thrilled to see jungle animals live. Nice place to visit with family. Very very safe place.

This is definitely an experience to consider. The jeep safari and boat trip are excellent but of course, you can be lucky or unlucky with the wildlife. We saw plenty of elephants and a tiger amongst all the deer, boar, peacocks, birds and monkeys. The naturist on our boat trip was excellent and provided plenty of extra information. Accommodation and food are also excellent. The forest was quite dry and it was quite hot - so sunscreen and water are a must.

WE opted forthe Maharaja package and stayed in MP1 on the 5th March for One night. It was a HORRIBLE experience. The bed had bugs. Most likeley, these were typical Bed Bugs, but large in size. Both (my wife and self) were bitten all over the body with red marke all over which were extremely itchy. No sleep whole night The itching has now subsided (after about 6 days), but the marks are still there. The hotel / housekeeping should have taken care of this, which they did not

We have booked three nights in kabini jungle lodge which includes 6 safari trips of about 3 hrs each early morning and late afternoon. The safari was amazing rich in birds . spotted deers Monkees and birds. There are stories of Tigris and leopards but we saw none. The atmosphere, the basic roms and the 5 meals a day were excellent 👍 highly recommended

Great resort to stay, serene silent n next to the lake where u can sit n njoy the nature at ease. Great food to eat n good staff to take care of you. Rooms are good n spacious and vary as per the category. They also arrange safaris for you and also notify what was seen earlier day in the safari. Overall a place to visit with family if going for Kabini or Nagarhole safaris.

This was our third visit to Kabini and as soon as we arrived, we knew it was going to be as pleasurable as on previous occasions. We stayed for three nights in MP6, which meant we could relax on the veranda, overlooking the lake. Both jeep and boat safaris were rewarding. On our first jeep safari we watched a pair of “courting” leopards relaxing in a tree, whilst later safaris gave us good sightings of tigers (more than once, plus cubs), otters, jackal, and dhole (Indian wild dogs). The quality of guiding is variable – if you’re lucky, you’ll get JP, whose knowledge of the animals and birdlife is excellent. Also worth mentioning is “Capt” Krishna, who, if like us, you tell him you’re interested in the birdlife, is very helpful when you go on a boat safari. The accommodation is comfortable and the quality of food is very acceptable. We never left the table feeling hungry. We also enjoyed a sundowner in the bar. We are already planning our return.

This place is all about the wildlife and it is both exciting and plentiful. The accommodation is perfectly acceptable and the food seemed to be just an endless delicious and varied spread available at almost any time of the day catering to all tastes and requirements. The safaris are what it is all about here. There are jeep safaris into the nearby game reserve, and boat safaris on the vast Kabini river which this place is on the banks of. The safaris are between three and four hours long and take place form 6am to 9am and then again from 3 pm to 6pm. It is a fairly relentless regime of early starts and jiggling about in jeeps, but oh so worth it. The organization for each safari was excellent, you gave your room number and were told what jeep or boat you were on. If you do an early morning safari, wrap up warmly, we nearly froze to death on our first ones both in the jeep and in the boats. You can peel off layers as the sun comes up. The safari guides were really knowledgeable and friendly and unbelievably good at spotting the wildlife. There was communication between all the jeeps and when a tiger sighting was reported we raced across the reserve in the hope of seeing it. Great fun.
