Caribbean Resort Myrtle Beach

Great location! Close to Broadway at the beach, tons of restaurants and shopping! Currently renovating all rooms! Free parking in garage directly across from building. Great pools, hot tubs and open spaces!

I recently stayed at The Caribbean for a week and was disappointed from the moment we tried to check in. The process was terrible and they blamed it on the number of people checking in. Every issue they acted like they didn’t know about the issue. For example an elevator was down and we learned it had been down for a month. The room smelled of mildew, cockroaches in the room and around the facility. Not enough people working especially at the pool bar/ grill. The laundry room which is open to use was literally 95 degrees and water was dripping from the ceiling. Not only will I never stay there again I could not recommend it to anyone.

The amenities like the pool and connecting stores were great! The hotel room itself and furniture was a little dated and there was a lot of dust in several areas.

We stayed at the newly renovated hotel in April in a 3 bedroom condo. It was a last minute booking because our other hotel was awful. We loved it. The bed and pillows were comfy very clean. This time we came back and that room was not available. The website claimed the room was newly renovated but they just put lipstick on a pig. The room was actually in the building next door. The elevators are in a breezeway that’s always open so the heat is awful there and in the elevators. You hear all the exterior noise. We were woken up all night with the air conditioning unit above dripping onto ours. Along with the lift outside trimming the trees at 7:00 am. Could that not have waited till off season? The bedroom is not really a bedroom you have to walk through it to get to all the other rooms. The main door to the outside did not close properly. It let in heat all night and light, the AC was stuck on auto in the master bedroom and wouldn’t let us control it. We burnt up all night. Then the tub wouldn’t drain. The toilet seat was loose. The Murphy bed headboard was peeling and gross. The pool was constantly nasty. This morning my husband was swimming and I came down to talk him about leaving. He was swimming close to some gross stuff and told him to move. He found later it was vomit. The pool has not been renovated and in complete disrepair. I thought they would have renovated it by now it’s the worse part of the hotel and super gross. The exterior hot tub was closed when we left. One of the garage elevators was broken down most of our stay. I could go on. They refunded the night I didn’t stay but felt they could have given a discount on the other nights I had to endure.

The bed is so soft and it was perfect for my family and I! The pools felt amazing. Beach access was easy. Breakfast was amazing. Starbucks became my new best friend along with Ben and Jerry’s because it was so close. The only thing I didn’t like was the parking. It was way too congested.

The room was nice but the best part of the stay was at the pool with Nigel he was the pool party DJ he had so much personality and made the day so fun he had everyone smiling and dancing and made everyone have an amazing day we also went to broadway at the beach and saw him there
