Akakura Kanko Hotel

The hotel is halfway up the mountain in the mountains. The view from the room is very good! We went to the night before the heavy snow, the snow scene is beautiful! The breakfast at the hotel needs to be determined to be Japanese or Western. The hotel’s hot springs are indoors and outdoors, and the outdoor faces the mountains and snow, and you can see skiers slipping through. There is also a family bathroom, reservations are available, and the family can have a hot spring together. Free parking in the car park. Founded in 1937, this hotel was recreated in 1965 and feels like a very upscale hotel, with its special features from the details. Great hotel worth staying for a few more days

Amazing staff and lovely old place with nice onsen on site. Good breakfast in the morning and right near free shuttle to kanko/onsen ski fields. Nice buffet breakfast every day and they do a great dinner too

The room was very well cleaned. I was able to sleep soundly without being bothered by any noise from the surrounding rooms. It was the end of the year and it was very cold outside in snowy country, but it was warm inside the hotel. We were able to use the large public bath until 2am, which was very appreciated. The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes and we enjoyed it at our leisure. It was delicious.

Dinner buffet I am full of expectations, don't have too much expectations, the location is not good, you can travel by car, there is no store nearby, and it is difficult to recognize the road in heavy snow. The best thing is that the network is very poor, 4G has 1 grid, the Internet is difficult, WIFI is as weak, and the line is often disconnected. You can feel the air of nature wholeheartedly, the hot springs are good for hygiene, and the bath products used are also very good. There is a ski supplies store next to it, if you don't have equipment, you can rent it, and the ski resort is next to it, which is also very convenient.

Nothing very new to tell since all the previous reviews say it all. The price is too high for the service. The best aspect of this hotel is its closeness to the slopes. The rooms are so-so, the lack of hooks is astounding for ski-oriented accommodation, the beds aren't particularly comfy, the breakfast isn't super good nor well supplied, there's hardly any WiFi reception anywhere, the common spaces are chilly, and let's not talk about the onsen. The staff do try hard to make a difference, but meaning well doesn't always cut it. I'm still a bit disappointed by being offered no meaningful commercial gesture after agreeing graciously to switch rooms at the manager's request; in retrospect, as I'm writing this review, a ¥700 bottle of wine I didn't ask for made me feel a bit cheap. I ended up offering it to the staff during check-out. We decided to ignore all the previous comments because we organized our trip late and are usually easy to please. But quite frankly, I don't understand why some issues haven't been fixed yet, even simple ones such as adding WiFi repeaters and adding hooks in the rooms.
