The Royal Blue a Luxury Beach Resort

This place is amazing. It's luxury upon luxury. It has everything you need right at your doorstep, if you're not worried about exploring the island you can stay here your entire trip and be thoroughly satisfied. It has its own beach that is sheltered from swell so it's nice and calm. Perfect for kids and snorkelers alike! The restaurants they have are all 5 star and the food is amazing. Highly recommend this resort!

I arrived home this morning after the most relaxing week at this gorgeous hotel with one of my best friends. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome by all of the staff we spoke to in the Reception area. The check in process was seamless and we were soon on our way to our room in a golf buggy. Our room was perfect for the two of us to share. A huge bed, lovely bathroom and a gorgeous sea view from the balcony. We were half board and found the food at breakfast and dinner to be of a high standard, as well as there always being good variety. We ate at the Alati restaurant most lunchtimes and enjoyed each dish that we had from there; grilled halloumi, Caesar salad, gyros, etc. So convenient as it’s right by the main pool and all of the staff were so friendly! Each day by the pool, we were offered fresh fruit & cold towels as well as occasionally being brought samples of piña coladas. All lovely touches! We had a day by the beach, opting for a cabana. So comfortable with different options of sun loungers, deck chair & a huge bean bag style chair. Our room was cleaned everyday, as well as being left bottles of water - another nice touch! The weather was perfect during our stay - I love it hot & hot is what I got! There tends to be a lovely breeze at the main pool which helps! There were always plenty of sun loungers at the main pool, adult pool and beach. The hotel has a really luxurious and exclusive feel and I’m certain that this added to how relaxed and stress-free we both felt during our stay. We decided to venture out one evening and caught the little road train from just outside the hotel and went into Panormos. The train was really easy to catch & the staff on Reception were more than happy to give us information on this. The journey was €10 for two adult return tickets - certainly can’t complain about that! I couldn’t fault our stay at all, it was just amazing and I would definitely return!

Our 3rd time to property within last 9 years and alway excellence. The staff are excellent, the area very clean, food excellent and our view of the ocean was great. Centrally located which is very convenient. Love island of Crete and its people Will go back

Beautiful location. Our rooms is beautiful. The pools and sunbeds are ridiculous. No towels till 11 yet every bed is reserved. Passerby’s get offered towels so basically you could stay at a cheaper hotel and use the facilities here and no one would care. I suppose it’s disappointing there no wristband to identify residents so you pay big money but others benefit. Breakfast is very busy and pushing does exist. Some people have shocking behavior. Not the hotels fault. Food is good and plentiful. Drinks are expensive €5 for coke and food is very expensive too. So for a family bring lots. Beautiful location some lovely staff.

We booked our trip to Crete months ago and during the long, grey dreary days here we looked forward and longed for sunshine, rest and a wonderful holiday. The Royal Blue offers great things - we had the sharing pool, which was fantastic. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating (big shout out to Andy who was excellent and worked so hard.) However, I can't say that there were not a few little ******* that irritated us. For the first two days (and nights) it was clear our air con wasn't working properly - I kept ringing and reception assured me it was going to be fixed/ working as it should be. After two warm days and nights, it was finally fixed and wow, what a difference! The housekeeping team worked so diligently to clean our room - we are very thankful to them. The room was comfortable, although we did have a leaking tap and toilet. Agin - not major problems, but just little things that mount up. The food was good - a fantastic selection and something for everyone. Thank you to the catering department! We were greeted every morning and evening with a friendly smile - Maria was so warm and welcoming. Thank you so much! The resort itself was clean and attractive. The staff won it for us...if you can look beyond minor issues, you'll have a fab time.

Very nice location with beautiful sunset The service is excellent, people are very carry Small inconvenience with our room not ready from day 1 but we were upgraded to a very nice sea view front row Food was ok. Chefs were very nice same for the waiters but the food could have been more local. Beach is ok but missing some charm 2 swimming pools one salted the other not. Hotel is not too big (height) it looks like a small Greek village this is very nice.

Our experience at the hotel didn't start off as expected, with a few initial hiccups that left us feeling a bit disappointed. However, Ms. Anastasia Stamataki went above and beyond to ensure our stay turned out to be wonderful. Her dedication and attention to detail made a significant difference, transforming our experience into a memorable one. We truly appreciate her efforts and would recommend this hotel, thanks to her outstanding hospitality.
