The Royal Blue a Luxury Beach Resort

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. We arrived very early and were warmly welcomed—able to leave our bags, use the beach facilities, and even invited to enjoy breakfast on our first day, which was such a kind touch. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the sea view was absolutely beautiful. The hotel’s private beach was lovely and never felt overcrowded. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful each morning, with lots of fruit, vegetables, and a drink of choice included. My partner especially loved the lattes, while I couldn’t get enough of the iced chocolates! We booked half board, and although dinner drinks came at an extra cost (and were a bit pricey), the dinner options were varied, always fresh, and consistently delicious. The desserts in particular were a real highlight. All in all, a relaxing and enjoyable stay—we’d definitely come back!

NEGATIVES first - This hotel is NOT 5* for a number of reasons which I will go into. Firstly something this hotel is also not is disability aware!!! Our holiday was ruined by the rude and obnoxious beach side manager (vasilis) who because we left the beach for 40 minutes to go back to the room (good 10min walk each way!) to tend to my disabled sons needs in private he took it upon himself to remove not only our towels from the beach sunbeds but also put personal belongings like my handbag with personal items in which were hidden out of view under the sunbed and some of my sons stoma bag items also. When we returned to find this I found my belongings dumped on top of the unattended towel station in the blazing sunlight for anyone to have just pick up and take, this also meant that some of my sons stoma bags had actually melted round the seals, when I spoke to the beach manager about this he accused me of being gone 2 hours even though I had texts to show to my daughter saying that I was on my way to the room not 40mins previously! The sunbeds we were using had then been taken and there were no others close to the facilities for my son to access!! The beach manager was not interested in what I had to say and was very rude and arrogant towards me even though I was visibly upset and trying to explain about my son and he just shrugged, laughed and walked away. Needless to say this ruined the vibe of what should have been a lovely holiday and irreversibly has tarnished the memory of it!!!! I did have a conversation with the manager at the time Anastasia who was very apologetic however a free cocktail each as way of an apology was nowhere near enough!!!!!! Now to the hotel. It is tired and needs lots of tlc in places. The facilities are great but most definitely NOT 5*. The area round our shared pool was filthy. There were some dirty glasses on a wall waiting to be taken away that were literally there all week, the tiles round the pool were broken and chipped and if they moved more bits came away and you ended up standing on them in bare feet (think standing on LEGO!!!!) the pools themselves were dirty including the main pool oh and on the pools they are ALL salt water. And if you have young kids they cannot stand up in the main pool as it’s too deep and the baby pool is obviously just that!!… for babies! There is also no disabled access into any of the pools so be warned!!! The changing facilities for late check out down at the gym are shockingly bad for supposed 5*. There were 2 showers in the ladies locker room neither of which had a door which locked and then same again in the men’s and my 15 yr old son had to come to the ladies so I could watch the door whilst he showered for safety. After you’ve finished your shower there is nowhere private to get changed and i had to shut the locker room door and sit behind it whilst my son and daughter got changed and vice versa. NOT great for teenagers who want privacy!!!!! The room was cleaned daily howev
