The Royal Senses Resort Crete, Curio Collection by Hilton

Hotel is not close to anything. Need to drive 5-10 minutes to the closest village for food etc. but it’s a very pretty seaside village. Room is ok. Need to have better shower drainage. Planning of the hotel is just not very thoughtful. Should have one funicular on both sides of this large hotel. The changing room for the swimming pool is like a 5 minutes walk away. Doesn’t make sense. And why did they put so much salt in the pool? Restaurant food was very mediocre and service was slow. So many hotel choices in Crete and this is definitely not the best.

a Great hotel for a family holidays with everything you need for your stay. Nice view, nice food and beverage and amazing swimming pools as well as a great kids club. Plenty of alternatives to choose from. The hotel is strategically located on the middle of the island and not far away for both airports

We booked our stay months in advance for a friends and family vacation. Leading up to our trip it was difficult getting in touch with the concierge team to book excursions or get information for day trips. We were a group of 19 (adults and children) and wanted to book in advance due to the size of our group. We used another local tour group which was great (tours Crete). Overall the rooms were average. Service was the main issues that all 5 families experienced throughout the stay in different areas of the resort. Pool side service is extremely slow and when you ask for something as simple as ketchup for the kids meals it seemed to be a difficult task. My order was forgotten and then almost an hour later when I got it the order was completely wrong. I had to return it because at this point we were running late for our evening plans. The poolside bells also did not work. The staff consisted of young employees there for the summer but not instructed on professionalism. When we contacted the manager we were put in touch with the general manager. She was late by 25 min to meet with us about the pool encounter and attitude we faced. Within minutes of talking to the general manager it was apparent she couldn’t care less about our experience. Management needs to have attention to detail over their staff and ensure they are probably staffed since the staff mentioned to us as a concern. The spa services were great and included options for the kids which was nice. We have stayed at some amazing resorts and service makes the whole stay and if that is not there it is definitely a concern that management needs to pay attention to especially when 5 families bring it to their attention.
