The Wayfarer Motel

need some pest control.

It's not bad, only the beds could be more comfy.

The worst motel we've stayed at so far. We stated one of the pet friendly rooms but if that means a lack of hygiene because it's friendly well that was it. We had two rooms number 15 and 16 that were out the back. As soon as she walked in there was a smell coming from the bathroom. We rang them about it but it went to an after hours number and we never heard from them so obviously they knew about it and didn't want to know anything about the problem. The curtain was really long and just bunched up against the window a couple of the hanging pieces at the off the hook and looked shoddy! One of the air- cons didn't work. In the other room as soon as you walked in there with stains on the floor obviously from previous pets. In the shower it hadn't been clean there was black hair in there. I got down a blanket for the night in case it was cold and it had bits of stuff through it so he hadn't been cleaned. There was all our furniture in the rooms obviously from Vinnies. It might be okay for miners wanting a cheap room for the night but not for anyone else. Outside the rooms look like they were desolate some of the doors had pieces out of them the air conditioning in room 16 was putrid it had mold on it so I couldn't turn that on for fear of legionnaires disease! Snows when it was ever cleaned all the filters either for that matter. The noise from the highway was there constant until a quite down at night than the truck started up at five o'clock and the coal mining trains come past roughly at the same time so it's started to get noisy from then on in the morning. I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone at all and if there was a 0 star I'd give it that!

They turned the water off without informing the guests

couldn't pay me to stay there again, my door code expired a day before I was due to check out. No staff were in the office or around the motel, no one answered phone after 6 hours of being locked out I had to call a lock smith to break into the room for me, left voice mails and a personal message, no one contacted me after I left to tried to make anything right

Photos of this property were obviously taken 10 years ago! So run down. I’ve stayed in many motels all over the country/world and this would have to be the worst place we’ve ever stayed. There were hairs on the pillows. My kids complained of being able to feel what felt like dirt at the end of the bed. The door between main bedroom and kids bedroom didn’t close! Bathroom doors didn’t close and looked so dirty! I don’t think floor had been mopped between stays! No soap supplied! No room key given! Just a written key code on a post it note! Seriously don’t know how this place is still running! Save your money or spend $30 more and stay elsewhere!
