Went to Mussoorie with family on an impromptu weekday vacation and stayed at ITC Savoy—it truly felt like stepping into a bygone era of the British Raj, with its wooden floors, cozy nooks, and corners steeped in history. The magic of this hotel lies not only in its timeless architecture but in the warmth of its people. Right from the start, the doorman’s energetic ‘namaste’ lifted the weariness of our long journey and made us feel instantly welcome. The room we stayed in offered a breathtaking view of the valley and was a perfect blend of vintage elegance and modern comfort. The staff at ITC Savoy were exceptional. A special shoutout to the breakfast team—Sunil R, Sumit, Ankit, Arun, and Harsh—who were incredibly attentive and took care of even the littlest things. Their hospitality truly elevated our stay. The hotel also has a variety of activities running daily. My parents went for a morning hike with Nikita, who provided a wonderful guided tour full of interesting facts about Mussoorie—it's a must-do experience, and they really appreciated it. For a day trip, we visited Landour to explore the famous Landour Bakehouse, Rokeby Manor, and Lal Tibba. While the sights were charming, the overall experience was a bit underwhelming, largely due to traffic. A tip: avoid taking your personal vehicle up there. The roads are narrow, parking is almost nonexistent, and we ended up stuck in a jam for 40 minutes—plus, my car got a dent. It's much better to hire a local taxi. Also, there’s a small entry fee to drive up the hill, but if you want to save ₹150, you can say you're a guest at Rokeby Manor—just a little cheat code! Finally, we bid adieu by sending postcards from the Savoy’s vintage post office, wrapping up our trip with a perfect touch of nostalgia. All in all, it was a pleasant and memorable trip
