Safari Island

The Island is beautiful & peaceful, all staff are helpful, friendly and accomodating. The food is good with a small selection but rich in flavour. The reef is Amazing great for snorkeling. Duny Thai Spa was incredible and highly recommended. The only negative we found was the bed, a bit uncomfortable.

We have just returned from 10 days at the Safari Island Resort and had a wonderful time. We particularly wanted to give a special mention to the Safari Spa which was an incredibly enjoyable experience. Sandy and Orn were wonderful, professional and we went a couple of times. For my husband's birthday they made him a lovely birthday gift which was so thoughtful. We really enjoyed the spa and I would highly recommend the back, neck and head massage! We stayed in a beach bungalow which was beautiful and kept spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was also excellent.

We visited Safari Island as a couple and all inclusive. We was aware it’s the 4 star resort and it was absolutely fine by us. We just wanted a relaxing place and connect with a nature, but we never thought we will be experiencing customs service like that ever. The restaurant & the pool bar staff was very unprofessional & unfriendly! Especially the older guy from Sri Lanka at the pool bar. He was arguing with me front of everyone and telling me I can’t have the second drink till I finish the first one?? I found it very disrespectful and unprofessional! When you all inclusive it should be your choice when you like to have your second drink not the bar staff! Also they organise a cocktail night but you have to pay extra as an all inclusive?? It felt like they just wanna take money of you all the time! It’s such a shame because the island it’s beautiful but the management & the staff should learn what is customer service. The receptionist girl from Bangladesh also was very unpleasant she never asked how was our stay when we checked out never a smile or anything. I’m a travel agent but after all of this experience definitely will not recommend this place to any of my clients.

We had the most amazing relaxing time on safari island. We had a beach bungalow on the lagoon side and it was perfect. The room was nice and big and airy. The bathroom was huge even with a back door to come in and get straight into the shower if you needed too. Limar looked after our room and was very attentive he kept it perfectly clean. We had our own table in the restaurant for the whole of our stay and Alif was amazing, even have our cup of tea poured for us as we walked in for breakfast. There were lots of choices for food, something for everyone, including fresh fish every night, speciality nights and roast dinners. Breakfast was just as nice with fresh made pancakes and waffles and every jams or spread you could think of. Sanjaya was absolutely brilliant in the Palm bar. He knew our order in the second night and couldn’t have been more accommodating for us. He chatted to us as though we were friends about cricket and hopefully we’ll get to see him again at a cricket game. Overall we had the best holiday that we have ever had. If you are looking for lots to do this island isn’t for you but if you want to go somewhere, relax and be treated like royalty this is most definitely the island for you. I had always dreamed of a holiday in The Maldives, and my husband and i visited in May for our 25th wedding anniversary. It didn’t disappoint. We stayed in a semi water bungalow which gave us the best of both worlds- direct stairs into the water, but also a perfect “icing sugar” beach a 20second walk away. The room was very big and the bed extremely comfortable. It was kept exceptionally clean. The staff treated every guest like royalty. We took the overnight whale shark boat trip and the crew were phenomenal. We saw dolphins and a couple of turtles from the boat, and after various false alarms and much persistence from the crew, my hubby and I got in the water with a whale shark - it was beyond wonderful!!! Especially as the crew were very clever and got us in without drawing the attention of the various speedboats-so we had the shark to ourselves! On the island we saw manta-rays, nurse and black tipped sharks and all variety of fish! Snorkeling is not to be missed! The food was fantastic-something different every day. Our anniversary dinner on the beach was postponed by a day as a storm hit (the storm was amazing!), but the room decoration and bottle of fizz delivered to the room made up for that! 10/10 loved every second and would recommend as a holiday to remember. Many fabulous memories made.

Beautiful island, the staff were all amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. The room attendant kept our room spotless. The food was good, lots of different choices. Big reef to snorkel around...the sharks under the restaurant ..wow the biggest I've seen to date, and this is our 7th trip to the Maldives. First stay on Safari Island. We normally pay at least £2000 more for our Maldivian holidays, so were a bit reticent of what we might expect, however there was no need to worry, it was great. There was only entertainment on a Sunday night, so very peaceful, just as we like it. Big thanks to our waiter Shiraz, total professional and very funny. And to all the barstaff in particular Sanjaya, what a lovely young man.
