Muscat Hills Hotel Hotel Review:
I stayed at this hotel for a 15 hour transit stay and I must say that my experience was anything but pleasant. When I entered the first room, I was greeted by a strong smell of cigarette smoke that immediately made me breathless. After politely asking to be given another room, I was told that all rooms were non-smoking. Nevertheless, I insisted as I simply couldn't sleep in a room with such a stench. I was then allocated a second room, but it was significantly smaller than the one I had booked. Only after I insisted was I given a room that met my booking criteria.
Unfortunately, upon closer inspection of the cleanliness, it turned out that the room was anything but clean. I found black hairs all over the "freshly made beds" which really disgusted me. The floor was also dirty and overall the room seemed more like a prison cell as there were no windows that could be opened or seen through.
There were dirty, unclean dishes on the floor in the hallway leading to the room that no one seemed to bother to clean up. This sight left a very bad impression.
I would also like to add that there are no European electronic outlets. You need an adapter to charge your devices. Unfortunately, this didn't work as I didn't have one. Also, the staff had a strong accent which made it difficult to understand their help.
The only thing this hotel seems to offer is the cheap price and the proximity to the airport, which is about 10-15 minutes away. However, I would still strongly advise against staying here. There are certainly better options in the area that offer a more pleasant stay experience.
Overall, I was very disappointed with my stay and would not recommend this hotel.
