Valley View Motel

Basic, clean, friendly motel beside busy road. Does food and drink, and also has a swimming pool.

Well what a little gem of a motel. Far enough off the highway to drown out traffic noise. Reminded me of something out of a sixties movie when I drove up. Great undercover parking right outside the door. Staff were so friendly and when I rang to say I was running late they told me to have a safe trip as it was when all the traffic from the floods were driving through. When I opened the door I was met by a quaint room that was clean, fresh and welcoming. The jeweled box with the coffee and tea was a special touch and so was the coffee pod machine. The shower was to die for after driving for 8 hours in heavy traffic. Then there was the bed....wow... I collapsed on it and immediately fell asleep. I wanted to take it and the pillow home with me. I highly recommend this darling little place. I had the Paris room and loved all the pictures hanging around. I only had one little fault and that was being a little bit disabled I found it hard to get up off the toilet because of where the toilet rolls were placed so maybe a small bar on the side of the door frame would be great. The lady also put a shower chair in for me which was so wonderful. The shower was so wonderfully hot and it felt like it was massaging you. I will definitely stay again no problems at all. Booked at late notice, sight unseen. An older motel with the cleanest bathroom I have seen in a while, a shower you can actually get wet in. Did not use room service, but nice touch was a squeegee for guest use cleaning windscreens in the morning, first time I have ever seen this and it is a great idea. Beds were comfortable and air con worked, all you need for an overnighter

Definitely a decent place for one or two night stay. Easy check in and check out. There is a servo and pie face outlet next door. I wouldn't call any eateries walkable(especially with kids) like in other reviews. Our room had a king and a single bed. There is kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, microwave, hair dryer, basic tea & coffee, cups, etc.. Parking in front of your room. A good added touch was the windshield cleaning brushes that was made available

BE AWARE - property owner charges PER PERSON. also says PET friendly yet u book pet room then they try to charged an extra $50 on arrival - which does not state in their pages.. Staff manager is lovely , but has no control over Owners disfunctionality and money grabbing actions.
