Was headed back from Yellowstone and wanted to stay half way to home. Checked hotels in Mitchell S.D. wanted arm and leg. Stumbled on to the Dakota Lodge at Murdo SD. My wife can be picky until we got motel she was very mad. Motel has microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker and super clean rooms. It is older motel but well maintained. Another plus for me can park car righting front of room. Can't go wrong on This motel. It's not the Waldorf but not priced like it either

Boarded up amd its a ghost town. Asked other people from the area they said once or twice a month a couple vans go there and thats it other than that closed. Sketchy!!!!

They are closed!!!! Do not book here. Booked it day of, arrived to find office closed and locked, no keys or message to me on how to get in my room. SCAM!!!!

Maybe the fact that we made a reservation and ...they were closed?! When we called the # provided, they said "We are understaffed, you'll have to find another place to stay"
When I asked for a full refund, they said, youll have to contact *******. We still haven't heard from either and it's been a week.

No frills but comfortable.
Comfortable stay. Older hotel, looks like they are fixing up. New carpet, paint, and bedding. Was just a stop over on way home.

It was a bad pick. No ac, no tv, no wifi. There was paint coming of of the shower tub. It was so hot trying to sleep that we just got up and left at 4am. I feel sorry for 2 young people that just took it over 2 days before we got there. I would not recommend staying here.

Old but very clean motel
Old motel but clean and comfortable. The manageress was very friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in early.
Not much in the area but great for a stopover on way to the Black Hills.

The hoel is in serious need of maintenance and updates. Grounds are unkept, exterior of entry area needs repair.
Inside of room was outdated and lacked basics like functioning AC and coffee cups for the in-room coffee maker.

Awful
Well it started off I paid for 2 rooms and when we got there they only had one but couldn’t refund my money for the other room said I would have to call hotels after an hour being transferred back and forth and no one to help me I just called my bank to dispute the transaction
