Popular Munster 4-star Hotels

As a group of 5 couples, we spent a weekend from Friday to Monday at Mövenpickhotel Münster. Rooms and restaurants meet our expectations. However, two events make doubts about management emerge to reconcile published claims and lived reality. On the second evening of our stay, a carnival event took place at the ground floor, transforming the conference area, bar and entrance hall into a disco until the early morning. Accordingly, no night rest was possible in the above room area. This major event is certainly important for an hotel for economic reasons. It would be fair to the guest to point out that limitation when booking. The next evening there was no restaurant offer in the hotel. After dinner outside we wanted to visit the bar that opened up to 00:00, according to internal and external publication. But the barchef was only ready to allow a drink for each of us and serve by the service staff after a very unpleasant discussion. He then closed the bar. Here is action needed for responsible management.

The room spacing design is very good, the floor is high, the windows are many, very light. The location of the hotel is very convenient, just to the train station and shopping malls. The staff is happy to provide assistance and the English communication ability is very good.

Parkhotel Hohenfeld in Münster is my favorite place to stay when visiting Münster and surroundings, not only for the good rooms, helpful staff, plenty of parking spaces and while located in a quiet parklike area, is only 5 km from the historic center of Münster, but since this visit, also for the possibility to rent a complete apartment in one of the half timbered buildings nearby, instead of a room in the main hotel building. Try is for a couple of days.

We booked this hotel because we wanted to go to the Christmas Market in Münster, but we were actually too late in booking. This hotel is reasonably priced. It is a beautiful industrial hotel, with a unique hall. Between the hotel itself and the rooms is an open and colored space, which can be quite cold in winter. This does make the hotel unique in my opinion. The rooms were of high quality and there were nice personalized items in there. The shower was large and there was a rain shower. I really liked this hotel partly for these reasons. The breakfast was extensive, and the restaurant is also very large. There is room enough for everyone. There were also typical German things available. The people who work here are very friendly. Parking is paid, but also unclear. I didn't understand much about this myself, but it worked out fine. In fact, you pay the ticket for parking at the door of the adjacent supermarket. You can also park inside underground if you wish. I don't know how this is in the price of parking, or if it is the same. Highly recommended.

Overall very nice hotel. Restaurant not open on Monday, which is a shame as this is when i use the hotel and means i have to find food outside the hotel, which is inconvenient.

De kamer is ok, goed bed en redelijk rustig. De airco werkt niet goed waardoor het benauwd voelt. Het oudejaarsdiner een beetje een sof. Ze hadden het restaurant blijkbaar overboekt en wij werden met een ander stel in de bibliotheek geparkeerd. Terwijl we toch echt gereserveerd hadden, ruim van tevoren. Dat ging allemaal niet zo soepel. Het personeel wist niet goed raad met de situatie, weinig georganiseerd. Geen menukaart of tafelkleed, of placemat, het bord zo op de tafel. Broodjes bleken er achteraf wel te zijn, alleen werden die niet gebracht en wij wisten het niet, jammer genoeg. Een paar ka****n voor de sfeer kwamen pas na een hele tijd. Gezellig maar niet heus. Wel werden er met grote regelmaat nieuwe drankjes aangeboden (veel te vaak). Na een uur of 2 konden we alsnog verhuizen naar het restaurant. Daar was het door de erbarmelijke akoestiek een ongelooflijke herrie, waarbovenop de live muziek nog kwam. Praten was eigenlijk niet te doen, je moest schreeuwen. We verlangden bijna terug naar onze bibliotheek… De bediening was trouwens wel vriendelijk en snel.

Das Kongresshotel liegt gegenüber der riesigen Messehalle und ist spezialisiert auf Masse! Die vier Sterne sind nicht gerechtfertigt, aber es bietet eine ordentliche Unterkunft im 2-3 Sterne Bereich. Die Lage ist eher mittelmäßig, man hat die Wahl zwischen einem Blick auf die Schnellstraße oder einen riesigen Parkplatz. Der Weg in die Stadt geht nur über die laute Schnellstraße oder die BREMER STRASSE, die wenig einladend ist. Immerhin ist der Hafen in unmittelbarer Nähe und dort gibt es ausreichend Lokale. Die Zimmer sind praktisch, aber phantasielos. Leider gibt es kein 2. Tür zum Flur und man hört jedes Türschließen und jede Stimme im Flur. Insgesamt ein Hotel für eine Nacht um die Stadt zu besichtigen.

We stayed in the hotel for four nights. The internet in the room was rather slow and occasionally went down for short periods. The breakfast buffet is good and varied. It is all the more incomprehensible that, in addition to the rolls, there was only one type of bread to cut on all four days (other hotels usually have three different types of bread to cut).
