Hotel Branka

I stayed here for the Europa League final. At first I was worried about booking a one-star hotel as I would never normally book anything less than a four-star. My worry was soon forgotten, yes the rooms are basic, but they are spotless and have all you need for a comfortable stay, the maid serviced the room every day the towels were very fuffy and white, all the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough to please! We were in room 22 which had a Juliet balcony with view of the sea! Location was fantastic 5 minutes walk to the beach with views to die for! Also 2 minutes to the train station with trains direct to Bilbao every 30 minutes, you can also take the bus to Bilbao from just outside the hotel. Mundaka is a beautiful place there are a few Tapas bars and restaurants and some fantastic scenic walks! I loved this place and would recommend it to anyone, I will most definitely be returning to Mundaka and staying in the Hotel Brannka! I would personality like to thank all the staff in particular Fernando and Hose for their fantastic hospitality! 5 stars from me!!

Authentic charming hotel. The Hotel Branka is lovely. The people running it are extremely nice and kind, and the welcome very genuine. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and as described in the details. There is a nice little bar and a shady terrace. Breakfast was fairly basic. The harbour in the village is lovely, and just 2 minutes walk away. Parking in Mundaka is challenging to say the least. The streets are very narrow, and much of the parking is residential. As we left, we saw a larger, slightly out of town parking area just on the road heading on to Gaztelugatxe, which might help you if you are stuck. Its certainly a nice harbour area, and Hotel Branka felt very authentic and was good value for money.
