This property is seriously in need of updating. Bills itself as newest & best in town, and, given the town, it might be but that isn't saying much. The window screen looked like someone had cut it trying to get in, the sheer window curtain was shredded, and the carpet had the impression of a hot iron dropped on it. The motel was almost empty but the manager chose to put someone in the room right next to ours. I saw a bug that could have been a cockroach on the bathroom wall. The bedsheets were wrinkled, probably from sitting in the dryer too long, but looked as though they'd been slept on. The armchair had no support so when I sat on it I felt like I'd go all the way to the floor. The room seemed pretty clean and that was the only thing that made it tolerable. The area that would usually be the front desk/reception area was closed off--looks like part of Manager's living quarters--and guests have to go to a window in the front hall, ring a bell, and do business with the manager through a window like a teller's window. I had to ring again in the morning and wait for the owner to come out so I could get a copy of my bill. There is an ice machine but the supposed vending machine had a few sad looking bags of something and might not have been functional. In general only the minimum effort has gone into the property and there is no sense of home away from home and no hospitality.
