One of the worst stay I ever had in South Africa.
I took my time before writing this review. I wanted to be fair. So, I will start with the positive. The room was very large. The kitchen was great, and the view from the balcony was spectacular.
Now, the negative. The hotel was actually closed when we showed up. The staff and manager had no idea we were coming even though we booked way ahead. We had to argue for them to let us stay and wait for them to clean a room. The restaurant was closed on the first night for a private event, and even though they mentioned it would be open for night two, it was closed. The lights in the public space were not open, and their parking lot was a delivery space.
The place was super noisy because of the private event happening. This is a very nice building, but not a hotel. For the rate we paid, we could have got a lot better.

We did not overnight here YET !!, but on both occasions we visited here for meals & drinks ; the food , views & service were ALL TOPS !! The ambience is stunning , takes one back to the medieval era. Absolutely stunning decor !! Two of our family guests were from the U.K. They were really delighted with Casa Labia !! But ESPECIALLY , the service we received from " Edith ". !! Nothing, and we mean NOTHING was too much for her !! She went the extra mile to satisfy our needs; she walked up & down those stairs , to cater to our needs. But , she remained pleasant , smiling and always willing.!! Well Done there Edith !! We all want to return , our U. K. guests said without a doubt , they will make Casa Labia an annual stop -over !! Hopefully , Edith will still be part of Casa Labia !!
