Stayed beginning of May for 4 nights, 5 ladies. We had two rooms, a twin and another twin with double sofabed. We were upgraded to main hotel rooms with side seaviews. Staff were really friendly and welcoming on reception. Food and drinks were really good. Sunbeds around the pool were fantastic with big thick cushions. We had evening entertainment each night which was great we loved the band on Friday night. Don’t really venture out as only there 4 days and wanted to chill 😎 and sunbath. Would definitely go again. Thank you to all the wonderful staff from the lovely restaurant staff to the friendly maids everyone made you feel welcome.

Demi and her team were helpful, friendly and engaging, they cared about our stay. Rooms were spotlessly clean and beds super comfortable! Such a beautiful area and the staff helped with restaurant recommendations and car hires. The pool was exceptionally clean! Highly recommended!

Very nice all inclusive stay with nice and helpful staff! Hotel is next to few shops and cafes with about 10-20!’in drive to more busy villages. Upstairs there is a nice roof top bar with amazing views Recommend to rent a car if you want to discover the island a bit more. We really appreciated help from the hotel staff that facilitates the rental process and recommended best spots!

Loved it!! Ons verblijf bij Golden Mare was heerlijk, wat een prachtig gelegen hotel tegen de bergen aan met uitzicht over de zee als een postcard😍 Wij kregen een fijne kamer met n mooie view en begaven ons naar het diner. Heerlijk verse vis, moussaka, gevulde aubergines. Indiaase curry, teveel om op te noemen + salade bar + desert tabel Geen enkele avond in 7 dagen aten wij hetzelfde en alles zo vers en met smaak bereid. De koks en het personeel in de bediening zijn service minded en supervriendelijk. Je voelt je thuis. Buiten ahet zwembad was het zalig, stoelen genoeg en goddank geen handdoekje leggen. We gingen te voet nde zee, 10 min verderop en barbati beach is ook mooi. De bushalte is om de hoek bij het hotel en voor 4.80 ben je in 25 min in Oud Corfu stad, ook n must see! We kregen n late check out van catharina, welke altijd vriendelijk was. Verder elke avond live muziek, niet perse mijn smaak, maar wel passend bij de griekse sfeer en ambiance. Ik heb genoten vhet uitzicht, lekker eten, de kamer, lekkere cocktails bij de rooftopbar en wil het personeel bedanken voor de service die ons zeker laat terugkomen naar dit plaatje van n hotel in Barbat. Thks for a wonderfull vacation!

Wow my Grandaughter and I have just had a fabulous 4 days at The Golden Mate, the food was great and drinks plentiful although somewhat weak but just ask for more gin etc and they are happy to oblige 😜 room was lovely and clean and shower was amazing. I was very happy with our stay and will be coming back next year as a group family .the weather has been lovely every day and the pool Is quite and no need to reserve sun beds as we always got one. Nice clients here and made some lovely friends in Chris and Sarah (lovely time)

Beautiful location set in a hill side overlooking the sea and distant hills. Infinity pool surrounded by plenty of loungers and again with exceptional views. The bar was well stocked and service was excellent - very friendly and helpful staff. The food was definitely greek with plenty of choice. Bus stop outside the hotel with a service into Corfu Town and variety of bars just opposite. Would definitely stay here again
