We stayed here the nights before and after the total solar eclipse. The supplied a pair of lenses for the event. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. The breakfasts were good, too.

The staff is amazing. The rooms are super comfortable . Parking is easy . The breakfast is complimentary and excellent . They have a coffee bar - self serve. Its stunning inside as well. So much history and right in the old town square . Lots of places to eat within walking distance and postmates also delivers there .

Historic hotel, with the photos doing it justice. Check in was easy, free parking on site, and the rooms were comfortable. Bathrooms were great. Located walking distance from some great restaurants. Breakfast was included and was good with plenty of coffee to go. Thanks!

We have stayed at this location a few times during a high school basketball tournament. Each year, the staff is very helpful and friendly. They are quick to accommodate any needs we have had, and always with a smile. There isn't much going on in this small town. However, the Grand is a great place to stay for a long weekend.

I was a guest for two nights and would definitely go back. This is a beautifully restored hotel with some vintage feel in the rooms and through the building. It is owned and operated by a fine liberal arts university, Mount Vernon Nazarene University. The bed was good, and the rain shower was fantastic. My only negative was the breakfast was typical with very average offerings - I would have hoped for a more homemade and upscale breakfast even if it cost. Overall though a great stay in a beautiful facility set on the square in a postcard small town setting.

This was my second visit and my husband's first visit to Mount Vernon. What a beautiful and interesting place to visit. We had two tram tour guides that were phenomenal. Evelyn and Russel were both very knowledge and pleasant, they made the ride very educational and interesting. A big thank you to these extraordinary employees!

We were treated better than we have been treated in all of our traveling over the years. They took very good care of us. If you would like a get away, go here, and you will feel right at home. The location is perfect, with an excellent restaurant within walking distance. Safe, no charge parking at the hotel.

Excellent choice for visitors to Kenyon College. This beautiful small hotel on square is owned by another local university, Mount Vernon Nazarene. Very friendly front desk staff. Clean room with up-to-date furnishings. Quiet. Close to good dining options on a cold winter night (The Alcove). Free parking in safe lot.

What a lovely hotel. We had check this hotel prior to staying here and it looked like a great choice. We got the king suite that is a wonderful size and beautiful windows of the square of Mount Vernon. They still had their Christmas trees and decorating up that was absolutely beautiful. Great place to park your car and walk around this beautiful safe community. We live about 1hr 15 minutes always and stayed here for just a over night get away. We will definitely be back. Thank you for your hospitality ♥️
