We had a late check in and the receptionist was kind and helpful :) my little girl really wanted to swim despite me being exhausted and it being 10:30pm! But the kind lady got us a room close to the pool making life easier for this exhausted mom trying to make the traveling fun for a 4 year old daughter. After long time on the road it is so nice to be greeted with kindness and compassion

My husband and I have stayed here previously so this was our first choice when needing an overnight stay in Mount Shasta. As previously the front desk individual was very pleasant and welcoming upon arrival. The room was large, comfortable and clean. The grounds are nicely kept and enjoyable to enjoy the outdoor space. The price point is excellent. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Today we’ve landed in a place I booked without knowing anything about, the Loge Motel in Lake Shasta town. It’s sort of a motel 6-1/2 crossed with a youth hostel, decked out in 20-something mountain biker chic: hammock strung wall to wall across the beds, bike hangers on the wall, boot dryer, non-fitted knotty pine wood trim, etc. but the beds and shower are good, and there’s plenty of space, so what’s not to like? There’s tent sites, community hangouts, free bikes and coffee, and a kitchen/lounge for anyone to use. It’s rustic but functional and so what if they aren’t concerned with tidiness?

I thought this little motel was excellent. Comfy bed, hot shower and perfect room temp. Little amenities like a microwave and fridge make it even better for the price. When we arrived, we were a little confused by the check in instructions as we were after hours but the “emergency line” helped us find our room :) Turned out, they left us a detailed voicemail with instructions but we didn’t get it until later. All in all, a lovely stop and I would definitely stay here again!
