Courtyard Mt. Pleasant at Central Michigan University

This is a really nice hotel located right next to Central Michigan University. The location is convenient and the hotel is set back from the road to avoid traffic issues and noise. It is new, with large meeting rooms and a nice cafe in the lobby area. The staff was super friendly and helpful during our stay. The room we had was nice, clean, and well appointed. It was larger than other rooms I have stayed at in other hotels and we enjoyed out stay very much. This is my first choice if I return to that area again.

First impressions, the hotel was well maintained from the outside. Entering, the lobby was bright, clean, spacious and modern. Check in was quick, the guy checking us was really friendly. The room was spotlessy clean and modern. Without upgrading to a suite or a deluxe hotel, this was literally the biggest standard hotel room I have ever stayed in. We were there to visit the CMU campus, the location is ideal (it is within walking distance and right next to the football stadium. The only improvement would be to offer a free light breakfast.

First time stay hotel was a five star hotel we enjoyed the stay very much it is on the higher side price wise but versus the ****** we attended a concert at it was Haley price and in a great location as well plenty f food and everyday products near buy.

We've had the opportunity to stay at this Courtyard a few times over the past 6 months, and have enjoyed each stay. As expected from a newer property, the rooms are clean and in very good shape. They also tend to be a bit larger than your typical chain hotel rooms. I also very much enjoyed one room we had with a balcony that overlooked the football stadium and complex (alas, with no events going on :) ). The staff has been very friendly during each of our visits. Definitely, this is our first option for a hotel stay when heading to Mt. Pleasant.

The Courtyard is probably the best chain hotel in Mt. Pleasant, especially for anyone going to Central Michigan University for business or pleasure. The location relative to the college is unrivaled. The hotel itself is newer and generally well-maintained. Rooms and public spaces were clean, although the walk-in shower was starting to show wear-and-tear. It could definitely use a deep clean or re-grouting. My room was well-appointed and comfortable. My only complaint? The individual toiletries have been replaced by wall-mounted dispensers that were mostly empty and not really tamper proof. Staff were polite, although young and not particularly well-trained. Bonvoy elite status recognition was completely nonexistent. Not even a complimentary bottle of water was offered. Had I not asked for an upgrade, I wouldn't have received it. My two colleagues traveling with me received no upgrade of any kind -- not even a room on a high floor. The food at breakfast was pretty good. Better than expected. At night, the drinks are overpriced. Over $50 for a bottle of wine that sells for $10-$14 retail. And you can't get a drink until after 5 pm because staff at the front desk are not cross-trained to pour a glass of wine from the bar. Zero incentives or promotions for guests to eat or drink at the hotel's bar/restaurant. Not even a meager discount. All things considered, I would probably return since there aren't many good chain options in Mt. Pleasant. However, the property could do a better job. Especially in the hands of more experienced management and staff.

This hotel was soo clean, friendly service & felt brand new! Cleanliness is very important to me.
