La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Mount Laurel / Moorestown
4.3/595 Reviews
We usually travel from southern DE to north Jersey once a year around the holidays, and like to stay in south Jersey (we used to live in South Jersey). I was very excited to find a brand-new LaQuinta that had a ”grand opening” rate. We could not have been happier with our choice to stay for two nights at this hotel. Staff was welcoming and actually did seem excited to be a part of this hotel's team. The rate included a free breakfast that had sausage patties one day and bacon the next. Both days there was biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes along with various items for toasting and two waffle irons. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash and lotion provided in the room was the brand Dove - very nice. The indoor pool area looked nice but we did not use it. The Funplex (amusement park type venue) is literally steps away making this a great location for families visiting the Funplex. We would definitely recommend staying here. No complaints at all!

Decent accommodations. The housekeeping team is really thorough and very polite and helpful. Front desk staff is decent to those who act decent toward them. Lots of upset customers when I’m traveling through so I can see why the staff may be unengaged. Having a Smoking room shouldn’t mean cigarette-burned comforter. Breakfast that’s advertised isn’t true. They only serve 6 oz cups of coffee and that even stops around 9. Steer clear of room 118, long term guests with loads of drama...EVERY EVENING. If you need utensils, don’t bother being polite and asking the restaurant that’s ten steps away from the hotel. You’ll get lectured on how “people” do this often, and how sick they are of it....I just offered to PURCHASE a plastic spoon. I didn’t sign up for a lecture. I had also patronized both parts of the restaurant since being a guest, but the rude manager that came out from the back to ask what I wanted wasn’t aware - nor did I think he cared. Bottom line- there is a Walmart and other restaurants up the road; as well as other hotels. Pick one.
Sonesta Simply Suites Philadelphia Mount Laurel

Sonesta Suites Mt Laurel is an excellent hotel, especially for people with disabilities. The rooms have kitchenettes with full fridge. microwave and stove top, plus the utensils and equipment needed to cook a meal. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room was very clean; no complaints at all on that score. The front desk staff was very helpful and went out of their way to assist me due to my disability. I would definitely stay there again.

Because I had points for one night and the rates were excellent, I only paid $217 for a Thursday through Sunday stay. The rooms were nicely appointed, clean in your typical business hotel style. They had a decent morning breakfast and it was located right off of route 73. Only 30 minutes to downtown Philly. I paid less than one nights stay for a long weekend in nearby South Jersey.

OK This is NOT a 5 Star hotel, so I did not expect that kind of treatment, qualities or amenities. That being stated, I was nicely surprised with my stay. I was staying over night, as I was working in the area, for the weekend. I arrived late in the evening and was professionaly address by the front service person. (Apologize now for not getting anyone's names.) He was friendly and took care of all my needs. (I did book and paid ahead which voided lots of delays) Once to my room, I looked around and saw everything look clean and pleasant. (Loved the photo of downtown Philadelphia, in the room) King bed was comfortable and had a great night sleep. I do want to apologize to the housekeeping staff. I was eating and drinking on the bed and did make a mess, with a spill. Now for my surprise. Usually hotel's showers have weak water pressure and lately, very little hot water. Not in my room, pressure was VERY nice and water was nice and hot. This helped me relaxed after a long day of work. A good quality stay!
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Philadelphia - MT. Laurel

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Mt. Laurel was great. We were in town for a few baseball games and didn't want the expense of staying downtown, but didn't want to stay in a cheap/bad part of town. This hotel fit our needs perfectly. It was 30 minutes from the ballpark (even with the game traffic) and an easy drive. The folks working there great (friendly & capable). Adam, in particular, was awesome. I called the hotel earlier to let them know we’d be arriving super late (around 1AM). He had everything ready when I walked in, & check-in was lightning fast. The breakfast was typical for HIE. They had the hot foods (pre-made omelets, sausage oatmeal) & continental items (muffins, bagels). They also had the signature HIE cinnamon rolls. The room was fine. The 4 pillows on the bed gave good choices of thickness/firmness so you have what you like. The curtains let in a bit more light than I typically like (they are blinds instead of curtains, & light gets around the sides). The only complaint I had was that the shower made a whistling sound (when changed from bath to shower). The sound kept coming back no matter how many times I switched it, which was annoying. The fitness room was good. They have a couple of treadmills, two bikes, & an elliptical, as well as some dumbbells. The treadmill worked well, so I was happy. I would absolutely stay here again when in Philaddelphia!
