Adora Inn

Our visit to Mount Dora and the Adora Inn was the cap-off of a bit of a local holiday for us. Seldom do we take time to visit our own state, but decide to do a drive for a week hitting some high points. We decide to visit Mount Dora on the way home to Jacksonville and see the town. Friends from St. Petersburg suggested a stay at the Adora Inn, raving about the comfortable rooms, the fine breakfasts and the gracious hosts, Arthur and John. They weren't wrong. We, too, enjoyed our two-night stay in a quiet, comfortable (and spotless) place. It was the perfect ending to our re-discovery of our home state!

A wonderful experience at this bed and breakfast. We were met by the hosts that gave us a tour of the Inn and lots of tips about what to do in town. The room was super clean,bright and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding both days. The location was perfect. We could walk to everything.

Mount Dora was a pleasantly surprising idyllic place to stay to attend the Leesburg Motorcycle rally. I would highly recommend the Adoa Inn if you are looking for a quiet, small town feel to a relaxing stay away from home- with delicious food. John & Arthur are amazing host. What you see in the pictures is what you will see when you arrive at their gorgeous Inn. Their hospitality goes above and beyond. Fresh coffee in the garden. Their cooking/presentation and hospility is not what any Inn would have. The Food is the BEST I have had staying away from home. (ex.Fresh Blueberry scones/croissants fresh toast etc.) For that I am very grateful:) Thank you for a relaxing stay with our Motorcycle.

If you are looking for a great place to stay while visiting Mt Dora, this is the place. The Adora Inn is extremely clean, you can tell they take pride in the property and the experience their guests have. We will be back, and we will bring friends

Arthur & John were excellent Hosts. Their Home is beautiful my daughter and I had the most amazing weekend! What a treat our Breakfast was!! By far the best meal we had during our stay. We enjoyed sitting outside in their peaceful Garden. Walking distance to Downtown

The Adora is the best B&B we have ever stayed with in this area. The owners, John and Arthur, offer many amenities from coffee in the morning to a beautiful setting outside and inside. The house is understated elegance surrounded by a luxurious garden. The breakfast each morning was creative and filling. We had fresh juice, fresh berries with delicious yogurt followed by a frittata one morning with homemade bread and almond croissants. I could keep on listing attributes. But, you should come see yourself. Thank you for everything. We look forward to seeing you in December!

I guess we drew the short straw. The camel room was very dimly lit, no light for the chair so that one could have a place to sit and read. The bathroom sink was uncomfortably low. That said by a 5’4” person. The color theme for the entire house was in earth tones and oriental/tribal rugs which lended some color. The color scheme was balanced by sunlight otherwise the entire house seemed somewhat depressing. The breakfasts were spectacular and well thought out nutritionally ad gourmet. The artwork was interesting and plentiful. I can’t recall a blank wall. The lack of lighting did not do the artworks justice. Because of the absence of television, I brought a couple of needle work projects and magazines but that ole’ dim lighting prevented me from enjoying my “toys”. I was concerned about some safety issues. Night time second floor hallway lighting fixture had the capacity for three bulbs aimed in various directions. Unfortunately only one bulb was used and the narrow stairway was quite dim.

We spend a long weekend in Mount Dora for our wedding anniversary. We were fortunate to be hosted by John and Arthur at their Adora Inn. It is a wonderful old home with beautiful decor situated about a four minute walk from the center of town. Everything about our stay was perfect. The morning breakfasts were a great mix of sweet and savory always accompanied with fresh fruit and juice. The room (Vanilla) was very private and lovely, having everything we were looking for. We look forward to our return to Mount Dora and the Adora Inn.

We love coming to the Adora Inn! We've been here 7 times and it is always lovely. We stay in the Olive Room - it has a king bed and nice, comfortable chair along with room to move around. John and Arthur are great hosts and amazing cooks! The breakfasts are creative and so flavorful. My favorite is the Croissant French Toast with Chicken Sausage along with a bowl of fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola. The atmosphere is upscale, but comfortable and so close to the activity in downtown Mount Dora. We'll be back again next year!
