The hygiene level is generally OK, but I saw a cockroach in the kitchen.
The location is good, and most importantly, it is very convenient to take the Intercity bus (convenient for travelers who don't drive). Overall, the accommodation experience is very satisfactory.

The staff who helped me at check-in were very kind! I was able to leave my luggage before check-in, but I left it in the storage area, so you might want to be careful about security.
Overall it was clean. It's not a big hotel, but the kitchen facilities are sufficient! I don't think there were many amenities. You have to walk a bit to get to the famous trekking starting point.
It was summer, so there was a cute tree in the common area! There were also a few sofas and other things, so it looked like a relaxing space!

There are not many accommodation options in Cook Village at the foot of Mount Cook. There is only one hotel and this youth hostel. The youth hostel is well designed. Each bed has a curtain, so there will be no interference with each other. It is convenient to charge the bedside. The scenery outside the hostel is invincible. It is very close to the ****** Trail.
