We normally love staying at any Hampton Inn, but this one was a disappointment. I want to start by saying the front desk staff was very nice. Our room was nicely located on the second floor close to the elevator and ice which was nice, but the room was not clean! When I say not clean I’m talking about the floors where there was a large toenail laying in the middle of the room. Spots on the tile that I wiped up, and about 5 large white strings laying on the carpet, two close to the toenail. The bed was seems to be clean and believe me we checked it close, but the glass lamp base was dusty and sticky. We decided to stay because we were both exhausted. It was quiet all night. The breakfast was cold not lukewarm or even cool, it was cold! We ended up eating a yogurt and leaving. If you can keep driving to Dobson or Statesville. The only reason we stay

were there in 2022 and had a great experience. Tried today to make reservations and the girl could not speak much English.. my husband asked to talk to a manager. She left and never came back we will not be back. Would like to come back. WE can't make a reservation if we can not understand what the girl is saying. We are not prejudice but that was a bad experience. Also, I do not think pets should be allowed.. Only service dogs. I am allergic to dogs. Joy

Clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was just OK but the coffee was hot and spot on. They had carts for our luggage and staff was helpful. There is a small convenience store located in the lobby for late night snack. Water bottles were also provided. Will stay again.

This was a one night stop during a longer drive with family. The facility and rooms were clean, and the front desk personnel were attentive. Although not used, the pool looked nice. The included breakfast was mediocre, but acceptable. Coffee and hot water were available 24/7.
