Tahoe City Motels

It's an old hotel, our go- to in Tahoe. The staff (Bruce, Kathleen, Erin and Bernadette) is exceptional and really go out of their way to accommodate their guests. The beds and pillows are very comfy and clean. Lots of people report problems booking their rooms through Expedia and similar sites which is not the hotels fault. We've had similar problems with Expedia and no longer use them, we call the hotel directly. Some folks were there in the lobby of the hotel behaving completely rude and out of control because of a booking error due to an outside booking app, not ABVI. The gal at the front desk (Bernadette) although understandably flustered by their deplorable behavior, handled the situation very professionally. We felt such empathy for her and were tempted to remind those folks of human kindness but didn't want the situation to escalate any further than it already was. This is a great hotel, directly across from the lake, lots of excellent dining options, golf and groceries within walking distance! You can also hook right into the biking trail system right across the street. Love this place! ❤️
