We have just returned from a 9 night break. On arrival we were greeted by Paty on reception who was welcoming and informative. This theme continued in all interactions with staff throughout our stay. We had booked a sea view room which overlooked the pool and was huge—more of a suite with a lounge area. The room was cleaned to a high standard and by 10am each day. The Superking bed was very comfortable. Food was good and the freshly carved roast of the day was top quality—beef,lamb, duck, chicken, salmon and pork. Views from the hotel terrace were stunning and ample sunbeds available. Evening entertainment was of a high standard and we particularly enjoyed Total Decades and The Two os Us. The hotel enjoys the best position in Morro Jable which is a very nice small seaside town with bars and cafes. So an excellent stay and all staff very attentive. Special thanks to Angel and Nadine at the Pool Bar for their excellent customer service.

The hotel is located on Jandia beach, with amazing sea views from some of the rooms. We stayed in room 4309 which is on the top floor of the beachfront location. The view was amazing, the room is large. It had a minibar, comfortable bed, iron and ironing board. There is a direct access to the beach. The swimming pool is heated. It has a small gym, the gym equipment is very limited, but it's not busy. The food is good. We used the Krystal restaurant once, which I would definitely recommend. The evening entertainment is not too bad. The service is good. We had half board, which suited us perfectly. Shops and restaurants are close by.

Leider schmückt sich dieses Hotel zu unrecht mit 5 Sternen. Statt Concierge Service a la 5 Sterne, hieß es, finden sie ihr Zimmer alleine. Fleckige Bettwäsche, Schimmel im Bad, lockere gefährliche Nachttischlampe, Schimmel am Haartrockner sind nur einige Mängel im Zimmer. Gastronomie entspricht nicht dem, was das Hotel ankündigt. Von wegen offene Showküche- dafür schlechte preiswerte Angebote, abgegessenes Buffet 1 Stunde vor Schluss mit oberflächlichen Service. In einem 5 Sterne Restaurant erwartet man anderes. Hotel preist auf Webseite und Handprospekt, sogar auf der Beschilderung im Aufzug ein SPA an. Leider gibt es kein SPA. Fitnessstudio entpuppte sich als Fitnessecke mit defekten alten Geräten. Alle angesprochenen Mängel sollten zeitnah beseitigt werden, jedoch tat sich nichts, außer ein einsichtiges Gespräch mit dem Direktor nach 4 Tagen. Einen in der Hotel Kategorie zu erwartenden 24 Stunden Service an Speisen und Getränken gab es auch nicht. Die Sauberkeit in den öffentlichen Bereichen, Pool, Restaurants und Fluren ließen sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Handtücher in den Zimmern waren billige alte und kratzende Handtücher und entsprachen nicht dem eines 5 Sterne Hotels. Dieses Hotel entspricht allenfalls gut gemeinten 3 Sternen. Ein Gast, der so viel Geld für den zu erwartenden 5 Sterne Service ausgibt, hat besseres verdient, als dieses Hotel anbietet. Dabei hat dieses Hotel eine traumhafte Lage. Dies kann leider nicht über die Enttäuschung hinweg trösten.

This was our fourth stay at Riu Palace Jandia and it did not disappoint. Everything about our stay was 5 star. The staff are so friendly, the whole hotel immaculate and sparkling clean and the weather beautiful too. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at the Riu from the 5th - 15th February, this was our 7th stay there. As usual the welcome from the reception team was friendly and helpful, in fact all the staff are friendly and always willing to assist. The hotel itself was refurbished during the Covid period, so it doesn’t look tired. The cleanliness is always spot on. The gym is modern and well equipped and the swimming is adequate for the size of the hotel and never over crowded. The bedrooms are well equipped and comfortable, my only gripe would be for additional space to be left in the minibar for your own drinks, as minibars are always expensive. The overall quality of the food at breakfast and dinner is good, although perhaps the quality has slightly diminished over the years. I would also prefer a bed and breakfast option, as my partner often skipped dinner, preferring to have lunch out instead. We also had 10 glorious days of warm sunshine, so that definitely helped, but it’s worth pointing out that there is a bit of a climb to reach the beach, although the lift at the back of the hotel cuts out quite a few steps. Definitely still a hotel I’d recommend for couples, as it doesn’t tend to attract to many families with young children, as there isn’t a great deal at the hotel for children.

We are currently staying at this hotel. It has exceeded our expectations. The room is excellent with superb views of Jandia beach. The food quality and choice are excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful - ready to the extra mile to please. We have stayed at a number of 4 and 5 star hotels in the last few years and this one is by far the best.
