We recently had the good fortune of having our 50th high school reunion at the Westin Governor Morris in Morristown, NJ. We had the honor of working with Christina Rodriguez Senior Sales Manager who gave us the red carpet treatment from the start. She was professional, informative, articulate and pleasant to work with. We booked close to 40 rooms at the hotel and classmates raved about the accomodations, from cleaniness to comfort and spaciousness. The banquet managers, Dennis and Julio were attentive to our needs and the food, service and staff were just superb. We would definitely rate our reunion as one of the best ones that we had, and that was largely due to the experience at the Westin Governor Morris.

The Westin Governor Morris is a great hotel. The staff have a 'say yes' approach to requests and their head is in the game, understanding questions and offering solutions. The hotel is updated, well maintained, clean, spacious. Windows have a translucent shade and a black out shade. Temperature controls work. Beds are luxurious. Bathrobes and slippers hanging in the bathroom. Bathroom doors that are solid and lock (some hotels now do glass doors or sliding doors, I like the security of a real door esp for the restroom). Parking is free and available, a typical suburban parking lot. In the hotel are lots of little side areas to sit - in the front lobby, side lobby, front desk lobby, 2nd floor lobby, and more. Seating is comfortable and the space is welcoming. There is a restaurant on site (I didn't go to it). There is a coffee shop on site (didn't go to that either). Location is a quick drive to just about everything (shops, restaurants, etc). Hotel has bell staff to help with luggage (and they're not pushy for tips, just there and ready to help, service with a smile). I really enjoyed my stay and would be happy to stay at the Westin Governor Morris any day!

Henry and Joe are phenomenal. The food is even better. Don’t let the busy parking lot in the back fool you come on in and enjoy a great drink and the ambience. Took my wife here for a fancy dinner and we were both very impressed with the food and the staff

I left my brand new winter jacket in the closet of my guest room. When I called 2 hours after checkout to retrieve it, the jacket had magically disappeared. I hope housekeeping is enjoying their new winter jacket. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED

This is not really what you would expect out of a Westin product.. it’s totally dated. Gym equipment from the 80s. No executive lounge aka consistency. The breakfast they offer is only continental but there hot food out and you can pay extra if the waiter catches you I guess your in the hook?? Really? The burger in the restaurant was the lowest option item on the entrees at 23$.. extremely overpriced. The AC/Heaters in the rooms are old school and loud as a freight train. Try sleeping next to a garbage crusher all night and wedding people yelling in the halls. Bathrooms seem updated but were done on the cheap.. rebrand this one to a lesser value . Loyal customers deserve the same and this ruins the Westin brand

A group of 30+ friends now mostly in our 70s who have been friends since our childhoods and teen years just enjoyed a terrific weekend reunion here. Many of us stayed for both Friday and Saturday nights, with our primary get-together on Saturday evening. The banquet featured a marvelous buffet, a bountiful spread offering several delicious entrees and every possible side dish, followed by trays of desserts, coffees and teas. We had plenty of space to dine and mingle. Truly everyone said their rooms were top notch and the staff was helpful and accommodating. Indeed, the entire facility is notable for its open spaces in the lobby, the excellent on-site restaurant, and clean rooms and hallways. All in all, our reunion was memorable, both for the camaraderie of old friends and great venue in which we celebrated it. Thanks to all the staff there that helped make it happen.

Had a bad vibe walking in, but put civilized front for the twerp at front desk. On a pretty slow night he kept me waiting five minutes while searching for a room, which was adjacent to door at outdoor pool entrance. Back to desk for another room, which was next to a crying baby. Different clerk took ten minutes to find a room. Rude, heavy walker next to last room, but I waited it out. Fifteen dollars for internet after paying one seventy for one night. Quite the hassle signing in through Marriott if you don't have password saved.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Westin Governor Morris. It's easy to get to and right near the Frelinghuysen Arboretum—beautiful hiking trails. I was in the area for an event at the Madison Art Center–the hotel was conveniently located about seven minutes away. As a titanium elite member, I was able to receive an upgrade to a large junior suite. We ordered room service because we needed a very early dinner, and there was no restaurant open at 4 p.m. We were blown away by the quality of the room service; it was incredibly delicious and nicely presented. In the morning, we got the free continental breakfast (offered to Platinum and above Bonvoy members). It's in the restaurant, but they just bring you a plate of yogurt, fruit cup, and then your choice of toast, a bagel, or a pastry. And you get orange juice and coffee. It was fine, nothing special. We got a late checkout which is always a nice extra. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The shower was good, bed was comfortable, etc. Our only suggestion was that the second room of the suite was a bit sparse and it could use some more furniture. There was no coffee table in front of the coach, there should have been a few more chairs and perhaps another coach, and the lighting was minimal. (And the bedroom had the blackout shades but the vanity shade was missing.) The suite was enormous (long hall when you first walk in the door); it looked like it was previously some other type of room used for business before it was made into a suite. But overall, a great stay. Will definitely return.

Don’t be surprised but the entrance is in the back .Looks like a school brick building . The hotel inside is very nice check in was simple . Mattresses were comfortable but the pillows were extra soft zero support we had a hard time getting comfortable bring your own pillows . The gave a door man who was nice but felt obligated to tip Didn’t eat in restaurant but looked good .Not a great value overall but it worked for 1 night .
