This listing including many of the pictures are entirely misleading. Self check in was insulting. It only means that the innkeeper is never there and that you pay in advance and let yourself in the front door using the code which is the year the place was built and can be seen on the corner stone on the front of the house. How secure is that? We were not impressed. The gardens are nice. The rooms are not near as nice as the photos make them out to be. It may have been that nice at one time, but not now. We stayed a few nights and put the sign up the next morning for the room to be cleaned. We got back and a note on the door said houseeping per room was only done once per stay after checkout. If more is needed, it's an extra charge. There was nothing said and nothing in the online agreement about this. No rooms have microwaves. It's one micro in a common kitchen. There is no laundry service and they won't let you use the washer and dryer in the common kitchen. We thought this was a B&B? Nope! It might have been at sometime but not now. We saw all these photos of great looking food and friends that recommended this said they had a restaurant and tea room. Not a chance. No breakfast, no lunch, no dinner. You want tea or coffee? Make your own with the coffee and coffee maker and tea and kettle in the common kitchen provided. For breakfast we were told to go to their other business down the street and we would get 20% off. We went, it was OK, no 20% off. Girl at counter had no idea what we were talking about and said the manager was away. Gift shop is tiny with really expensive things like hats for over $100 and artwork for hundreds of dollars. The bed was comfortable and there was a private bathroom and refrigerator but would we return or recommend? Given the high price ($190/night+++) and not getting the services that Tripadvisor and our friends said was here? Nope. Next Morden visit we'll go to a hotel nearby that includes breakfast.
