Location: Convenient location on the way to Seward, and it's a great spot to stop during trips to/from Anchorage to Seward, with an incredibly quiet lakeside setting by the water offering stunning views

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I am still trying to get my money back from this ordeal. I booked this place for a place to stay after a long day before a long drive the next day. We were ignored when we first walked in and barely were able to get anyone's attention. Once we finally got the key, we were surprised to find that the room had no fridge, microwave, or even hairdryer. The room was freezing cold and the heat was not working. It was 50 degrees and dropping outside so its completely unsafe to even think about staying in a room like that. I tried to talk to the guy who gave us the key, maybe he was guest services, front counter, restaurant server? Who knows but he didn't act professional enough for any of them. He looked at me from across the building and just stared with a very rude and judgemental look. He wouldn't acknowledge me or the other guest asking 'excuse me' multiple times in a row. I eventually just set the key on his desk and left so that we could get on the road. Taking turns and sleeping in the car on the drive was a lot better than trying to sleep at this place.

The location and scenery are absolutely beautiful! The staff were very friendly as well and we ate some dessert at the diner downstairs that was very yummy. We stayed in room #5 and the beds they should call the Iron Maiden’s due to the fact that you can’t get sleep on those beds. They are hard, sunken in and downright need to be replaced!

I wandered into the Trail Lake Lodge looking for help when my rental car battery died in the parking lot across the street today. I was met with warmth and hospitality by the entire staff, but especially Jimmy, who dropped what he was doing to jump my car's battery for me. He literally saved our vacation, or at least my sanity, because AAA gave us an estimate of four hours. Thank you Jimmy - whatever your boss is paying you, it's not enough!

Room was clean but is in serious need of updating. Curtains and windows can be washed before the season starts.

The wooden lodge itself is unique. I was extremely skeptical about the bathroom and shower not inside the lodge but there were 4 shower and bathroom for 5 lodges. I was kind of use one for ourselves.

It was a good stay. Very comfortable. A tv set would have been nice. The staff was awesome and so was the food.

Very comfortable stay in a scenic location. Trail lake right behind the lodge with scenic snow clad mountains. Clean property, Scott is a very friendly host. The lodge has a restaurant which serves amazing hot chocolate. We found decent veg options (delicious veg curry and sandwhiches). The place might look a lottle old but has good soul. The room had cute alaska paintings. Even the curtains, lamp, vedsheets all had alaskan beuty captured( forest, moose, mountains etc). Must stay
