The location and scenery are absolutely beautiful! The staff were very friendly as well and we ate some dessert at the diner downstairs that was very yummy. We stayed in room #5 and the beds they should call the Iron Maiden’s due to the fact that you can’t get sleep on those beds. They are hard, sunken in and downright need to be replaced!

I wandered into the Trail Lake Lodge looking for help when my rental car battery died in the parking lot across the street today. I was met with warmth and hospitality by the entire staff, but especially Jimmy, who dropped what he was doing to jump my car's battery for me. He literally saved our vacation, or at least my sanity, because AAA gave us an estimate of four hours. Thank you Jimmy - whatever your boss is paying you, it's not enough!

Ok older roadside motel Older Lodge in the middle of the Alaskan forest, by a beautiful lake. Accomodations were very dated and mismatched but not uncomfortable. Room was above bar and walls were thin, noise from below, around, and the road were pretty distracting. Good food in the restaurant though, with nice people!

Room 26 8/8/24 There was no tv, fridge or alarm clock in the room. The walls were paper thin, we were awoken at 4:30a by the party in the room next door talking. It was as if they were in our room. We could hear every word they said. The mattress was broken down in the middle creating a "hole" & the side by the wall was also broken down causing my wife to 'slide' over to the wall as she slept. When checkout was attempted there was no one at the desk. A brealfast sandwich was advertised to be available but there was no one in the kitchen either. I would've expected more for $145/night.

Good “Alaska” hotel Good people, service and food! Room clean and comfortable. Not a Hilton, but for the price a good “Alaska” hotel. We will be back.
