Mandolin Beachfront Resort

The staff were excellent. Pearl on the phone, Ruby on the reception and property manager Cat were all first class. We stayed two nights on the 10th floor facing south and we loved it so much we stayed another five nights on the 9th floor facing north. Both apartments were renovated to different degrees but both immaculately clean and fresh. The views spectacular! Both apartments were 2 bedroom/2 bathrooms. Both had a full kitchen with all the cutlery, crockery and utensils you might need. Beds were all comfortable. The outdoor facilities at this resort are excellent. A large heated pool and a heated children’s pool too. Large extensive BBQ area with plenty of seating under cover. A full sized tennis court and a mini golf course on site were well utilised during our stay. There is a great Vietnamese restaurant at the front of the property (on the street) and we ate there several times. The staff were lovely and the food was excellent. We also at at the Alex Surf Club opposite the Mandolin with easy access by pedestrian crossing with traffic lights. At the back of the surf club there is a cafe which is perfect for an early morning coffee and light breakfast. Coles Mooloolaba is a five minute drive away. Also nearby is Sealife and The Ginger Factory which we all enjoyed. Australia Zoo is also an easy drive. We have booked to return in March 2025, can’t wait, we had a great visit October 2024.
Landmark Resort & Spa Mooloolaba

We have been to the Sunny Coast a few times. Mostly staying at Alexandra Headland. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Landmark it is so close to everything. We had nice walks on the beach. Restaurants downstairs with views of the beach. We had a roof top Spa. Next time we will do a Bbq as Woolies is just around the corner to buy provisions. Our room was a little ’tired’ but views of the glass house mountains made up for that. We will be back.
Mantra Mooloolaba Beach

Fantastic stay over Easter. We were in a non-ocean view apartment that still had a lovely view of the ocean, if blocked a little by surrounding apartment blocks. Service from the reception was fantastic with nothing too difficult. The Mantra itself is ideally located to make the most of the Mooloolaba strip. The apartment was really comfortable and had all the kitchen essentials for cooking when you can't be bothered going out. We even found there was a special path to the local Coles supermarket for hotel guests that made it so simple to go shopping. Will definitely be back to try an ocean view apartment.

Location is great, however our room (on level 1) overlooked the back / side streets of the hotel and the noise from garbage trucks / children below screaming in their hot tub / roadworks etc., was really loud and started early in the morning and woke us up. Facilities were good - small kitchenette, newly renovated bathroom, 2 x bedrooms, nice 'lounge area' and a lovely balcony - the noise was just a real nuisance. We also had a problem with the water overflowing outside one of the bedrooms late at night, which warranted us contacting the owners to take a look. Gushing noise was right near the bedhead of the bed and we were unable to sleep. Problem was rectified quickly and owners were grateful for being advised of the problem. I've stayed here before but stayed in a 2 bedroom unit overlooking the marina and surf club - much nicer room, further up, less noise. Owners are lovely people to chat with and helpful with information / directions as well. Pool was lovely (cold), spa was lovely and warm. Didn't partake in any food at the hotel during our stay, so can't comment on that. Short of trying to cut back some of the noise from the back streets - it was a pleasant visit.

It was a toss betewen 3 and 4 stars We arrived early and were met by the friendly owner (?) who was really helpful. We intended to just park up and wander around until check in time, but we were able to check in early which was helpful, and even though the lifts were not going at the time they still took our bags up! This place is in a great location, you just go downstairs and head to the Esplanade. No need to drive around Mooloolaba and find a park. The view was good too. The room didn't feel overly clean but it was a generous size, and although felt slightly dated it appears to have been somewhat revamped. We were unfortunately quite cold overnight as the bedroom was at the far end where the heat couldn't reach as the windows were smaller so didn't light up the room too well either. There were a couple of spare blankets but they were also thin (and unfortunately dirty). The building itself is very outdated. In places it looked like it was in the midst of being refreshed maybe, but it was hard to tell. Unfortunately, the lifts being out of order made for a bit of a hike to the room, but we were told way in advance before we arrived that this was the case, so we knew to expect that and were given a discount accordingly which we really appreciate as well. Hopefully it does get a bit of a revamp, but I think it's fair to say we'll be back :)
Oceans Mooloolaba

We arrived after hours having driven in a hire car from Brisbane Airport in the pouring rain. I’d already advised them of our late arrival and had all the necessary instructions. The entry code didn’t work, so I followed the instructions on the keypad. Within seconds someone came online and told me how to get in. Our 2 bed ocean view apartment was fabulous and the supplies of tea and coffee were very welcome. The front desk staff were really friendly and very helpful giving us details of places to eat, the local supermarket, etc. The underground car park is great too. The only downside was the weather, the temperature wasn’t bad but it rained most days, however it was winter…… The next time we are in Mooloolaba we will definitely stay at Oceans.
