A cracking hotel in a really beautiful location. The highlight is the food, which is excellent. The room was clean and bright. The terrace is the perfect place for a drink before dinner. A great place to stop before or after your channel crossing

Our room was very French. It was up a steep flight of stairs. Other rooms were more accessible. Bed comfy and two comfy chairs. One of the best dinners in a long time. But we could only manage one as it was very rich. Breakfast buffet comprehensive. Parking area safe but a bit rough underfoot for pulling luggage. Staff very friendly

Arrive Sunday 11 May 25 , shown room 4 , I expressed my view and surprise how small the room is ! They offered to show us a different more expensive room , but room 4 is a standard room , after discussing situation myself and wife , felt it better to be on the ground floor , on the courtyard, as the rest of the place is like a rabbit warren . Shower room even smaller , separate toilet which I defy anyone of average size to use with the door closed , virtually impossible without your knees hitting the door ! Need to have door open . The adjacent wardrobe was bigger ? What we didn’t notice until following day was that there was a electric car charging point just outside our door ! Consequently we had the enjoyment of hearing raised voices giving reserving instructions to driver/s , the plugged in charging cable obstructing our walk way. This an accident waiting to happen and a considerable fire hazard . We were booked in the restaurant Le Patio , my terrine starter was tasteless, wife’s trout was salt taste only ! Mains course Lamb / Duck were acceptable , desserts chocolate praline was good , rhubarb was overdone and slopped on top of meringue ( this was described as red rhubarb) The experience lacked ambiance, gravitas you could be in any large corporate diner . We cancelled the next night’s reservation! In many years of visiting many areas of France they pride themselves on the dinner experience, ensuring service, ambience excellent standards. This establishment gives the impression of being pretentious and a tourist trap , happy to take your money, but offers little in return. They have cramped has much as they can to into a small area to raise revenue to the detriment of customers.
