This bed and breakfast was wonderful. My friends and I stayed 2 nights and found the “umbrella” room to be spacious and very comfortable for 3 women who were worn out from Paris and in need of rest. The town turns out the streetlights late at night and we could look out over the Loire in peaceful dark solitude. Just a wonderful feeling, like we’d gone back in time, away from the hustle and bustle of Paris. In the morning, the breakfast was delicious. One friend still talks about how wonderful the homemade yogurt was. If I can come back, I would stay at this beautiful place again.

Op de heenweg naar de Perigord hebben we 2 nachten verbleven in Le Clos du Roc. Dit was een zeer fijne ervaring. Mooie uitstraling, zeer ruime badkamer en kamer. Uitzicht op de Loire. Muisstil in de kamer ondanks de baan. Zeer goed bed en douche. Ontbijt was goed. We zijn 1maal gaan eten in La Tourangelle. Is vlakbij gelegen. Was zeer lekker. Was gereserveerd door eigenaars waarvoor dank. T****e avond zijn we blijven dineren in B&B zelf. Ook zeker aan te raden. Zeer lekker. Dagje Tours was de moeite waard. T****aags verblijf was dus in zijn geheel een topper. Contact met eigenaars B&B was zeer aangenaam.

Lovely two night stay in elegant surroundings- of the house and the spacious garden. But the main standout is the standard of welcome from proprietors Celine and James, not just friendly but attentive and keen to help if needed (eg with local restaurant recommendations/bookings - we had hoped to dine in one night but the chef was away), The breakfast is high quality, notably the home-made preserves. The house is on a moderately busy road but the roadside river-facing room we had benefited from good sound insulation (and air conditioning). Secure parking off-road and on site. You can also enjoy drinks/wine on the terrace, and simple 'jar' meals are available if the dining option is not. Our room was spacious, with plenty of authentic character, in a good way. All in all a very enjoyable stay - we'd go again.

Beautiful place with amazing hosts
We had a fantastic stay here. The chateau and gardens are beautiful, James & Cecile are gracious hosts, and the location is very convenient for wine and chateau visits.
