Na een verblijf in Toscane en driedaagse tussenstop in Grâne (domaine la ruche) hadden we de laatste avond in Frankrijk bij Le Clos Poli geboekt. Lydie is de perfecte gastvrouw, onze kindjes werden warm welkom geheten met snoepje en bioappelsap, wij met flesje rosé champagne ! Zo konden we na een rit van 500 km nog even relaxen en dan genieten van de heerlijke maaltijd die ze bereidde. Haar zelfgebakken taart is van sterrenniveau. Na een rustige nacht genoten van uitgebreid ontbijt waarbij alles aan tafel werd geserveerd, geen vraag of moeite was de gastvrouw teveel. Dankjewel Lydie !!

Nous sommes restées 2 nuits au Clos Poli. Nous occupions la chambre Forêt d'Orient. La chambre est très propre et la literie est de très bonne qualité. La salle de bain est très pratique. Le petit déjeuner Français est excellent avec des produit du terroir et naturel. La table d'hôte est excellente. Le menu est sain. Mme Poli est à l'écoute de nos préférences.

Calm, spacious and a perfect stop off en route south. This is our 4th stay and we are planning our next. Ticks all the boxes and Lydie goes the extra mile. Here is a view from our room of the garden. Spacious rooms that can sleep 4 adults comfortably plus cots. En suites are large. Breakfast perfect with the best croissants in France and delicious fresh fruit.

Wij, mijn vriend en ik, zijn op de fiets op weg naar Santiago de Compostela. De afgelopen dagen hebben we veel regen gehad ook op de dag van aankomst bij Le Clos Poli. We werden hartelijk ontvangen met koffie, op de haard werd extra hout gelegd. Onze kamer was netjes, ruim en ook het aparte toilet en badkamer waren heerlijk verwarmd, schoon en ruim. Ook het ontbijt was goed verzorgd en madame Poli was uiterst behulpzaam en klantgericht. Een echte aanrader!

Look no further! This was our second family one night stay en route to the South. The owner is wonderful and will properly care for you. Rooms are spotless and spacious and the evening meal and brekkie were great. I thoroughly recommend le clos to you for a peaceful stay over ...and make sure you have a wander round to find the local laundry!

Sur la route du sud, le Clos Poli est idéalement situé. Les chambres d'hôtes indépendantes de l'habitation ont été très bien conçues. Une agréable salle de réception permet de profiter pleinement de l'excellent repas préparé pour votre arrivée par Sylvie, qui très gentiment vous tiendra compagnie, après avoir allumé un petit feu de bois bien sympathique. Après une bonne nuit passée au calme, et un petit déj très bon et copieux, une petite ballade dans Montigny vous mettra en forme pour l'étape suivante, via Chaource, qui possède outre ses fromages, une très belle église à visiter impérativement. Merci à Sylvie pour ce bon moment passé au Clos Poli.

Beautiful hotel in idylic surroundings
This was a beautiful place to stay. The area is very picturesque. The host was the friendliest lady you could ask for. We were given a full tour of the accomodation and shown how things worked. The apartment was perfect for us as a family of 4, it jad a very comfortable kingsize bed and 2 single beds, a bathroom, and an area with a table and 4 chairs and a tv.
The gardens were beautiful with sun loungers. There is a garage that the cars are parked in.
The host helped us to order some food to be delivered to our room and it was very good.
My husband enjoyed some beer that was for sale at the hotel.
The breakfast was very impressive with the best quality ingredients, we thiroughly enjoyed this and must say it is the best we have had on any if our travels over the years. We had fresh eggs, croissants, bread, yoghurt, cheese, fresh fruit salad, jams, honey, tea and local apple juice.
We would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

A worthy detour
Discovered this little gem on the return home on a motorbike trip, didn't fancy a cheap city hotel and discovered for the same cost I could stay here.
Such a good vibe, comfortable and clean with a lovely host and a great breakfast, plus safe parking for my motorbike, well with the detour to get here.
