The Kartrite Resort and Indoor Waterpark

There was only three places to eat, unless it was after 7 and then there was only 2. The food and service were lacking. You have a fully booked hotel for a dance competition plus some and you didn’t have the staff to accommodate. The cleanliness of the room was also lacking, we had mold in our a/c and multiple broken things, no place to put a hand towel with the sink in the room. Only having one bank of elevators on one side of the hotel, had to wait 15 mins to go down to the lobby when the waterpark opened and hotel checkout. Lack of staff in the arcade and attraction area. The waterpark was ok, the only real issue there was the tube problem, the lines for the slides were ridiculous. The tube machine that brings up the tubes kept breaking. The fact you need to pay extra for getting your room made up and to get the trash taken out of your room is ridiculous. I ordered a pack and play and cookies and milk ahead of time. We got a not clean pack and play and only received cookies and no milk. There are quite hours starting at 9pm which means nothing as kids ran up and down the hall yelling till 3 in the morning, when you call the front desk they don’t do anything about it. Also if you have a room facing the courtyard it stays loud till early morning hours. Waste of money. It’s very expensive of a trip for the lack of service and how the hotel is presented.

We had such a great time at the Kartrite waterpark! All of the lifeguards were kind, but Nina and Katarina were especially patient and sweet when we tried flow, even though we were pretty clumsy 😃. They made us feel safe and made the whole experience fun and memorable. Thank you!

I recently stayed at The Kartrite with a large group , and unfortunately, many of us left feeling disappointed by the overall experience. While the water park was clean and well-staffed with attentive lifeguards, the rest of the resort felt severely understaffed. Housekeeping only cleaned rooms on checkout day—something you’d never expect from a resort at this price point. Cleanliness should be a daily standard, not a one-time service. Simple requests like towels, garbage bags, and fixing air conditioning issues took far too long to be addressed, if at all. Dining was another letdown—several restaurants, including Harvey Wallbangers, were closed the entire weekend with no prior notice. This lack of communication was frustrating, especially for a group that had planned meals in advance. At the water park, it was difficult to get food or drinks due to limited staff. It felt like the resort was operating on a skeleton crew. If that’s the new normal, the pricing should reflect it. Even kids’ activities like face painting came with extra charges, which felt excessive given the already high cost of the stay. These should be included in the resort experience. While we weren’t completely dissatisfied, the overall value just wasn’t there. Sadly, our group will not be returning.

This is your place if: 1. you love children running and screaming down the hallways in the middle of the night. 2. you don't care about your room being clean and enjoy seeing evidence of prior guests garbage, dirt, dust, etc. 3. you want to get turned around in the woods (and covered with ticks) because trails markers and maps are ineffective. 4. you enjoy having to visit the front desk/message the team to have basic safety and cleanliness needs addressed (but continuously ignored) 5. you want to be treated like you don't matter.
