Hilton Garden Inn Montgomery - Eastchase

We stayed here en route to a Northern destination. The hotel is wonderful - very new and clean and well laid out. The rooms are spacious and well kept. However, the tub did not drain when showering and the room A/C ran all night long rather than shutting off even though we had it set to automatic. We reported both of these issues when we checked out. The staff was generally very friendly and nice (until we had a billing issue) and we enjoyed our stay here. It is within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping, and there is a Costco with gas right nearby which is convenient if you are on a road trip and a member. There is also general shopping like Walmart and Target if you need last minute items. As Diamond members we had a $10/per day credit for food and beverage, which can be used not only for meals but also the convenience store. We chose the later, and were assured it would be reflected as a credit on our bill. However, at check out we noticed it had not been credited and brought it up to the female front desk clerk. She was somewhat dismissive and said the GM would handle it. When pressed to ask the GM to come out she appeared to go behind the wall and ask, but when she returned all she said was that he would handle it and did not ask him to come out and speak with us as requested. It was at this point (and the only time) we felt the staff was less than accommodating and friendly. Ultimately, we took the GM's business card and had to spend multiple days following up to get the credit to reflect on our bill and ultimately processed to our credit card. It should not have been that hard, and would not have been if the receptionist had asked the GM to come out the day we were leaving. Patrick (the GM) was noting but friendly and helpful in the subsequent communications. Overall, we would not hesitate to stay here as all the positives far outweighed this billing negative. However, we will be more persistent in resolving issues such as that before we depart in the future.

We usually stay at Hampton Inn but it was booked. We are used to the breakfast and 24 hr coffee and comfortable beds etc. This HGI is supposed to be an upgrade but doesn’t offer breakfast, beds were nowhere near as comfortable and the only “extras” in the room were a bar of soap and a make-up remover. No extra lotion or anything etc. the floors were nice because no carpet but they were so dirty I had to wipe my feet with a rag before I got in bed. No coffee in the lobby. The guests in the room above us sounded like a herd of elephants that I had to call at 10:00 at night and again at 6:45 am to complain. I’ve never had to complain before so I’m not just being a Karen. The staff did call and take care of the issue. For the price of the room I was slightly disappointed and won’t be my first option next time but would stay again if Hampton Inn is booked.

So far the experience has been great. The staff here is top notch and services and amenities are perfect! Convent to everything and I highly recommend and will come back

Ehh My recent stay presented a few areas where I believe the guest experience could be enhanced. While the hotel’s modern, cashless system is innovative, the $50 incidental fee—though eventually reimbursed—added an unexpected step during check-in. Additionally, I encountered challenges with parking due to limited handicap spaces, and the overall check-in process was slower than anticipated. In my room, a malfunctioning remote necessitated a call to the front desk, leading to a brief delay in having my dinner and shower while maintenance resolved the issue. Finally, being assigned to a top-floor room without readily available carts made transporting my belongings difficult, especially while managing a fractured arm. I appreciate the safe location of the hotel, but don’t appreciate the staff that did not offer me help with my bags and hope these observations will help improve future stays.

Staff was friendly and efficient. Location was convenient to dining and other activities.
