The first night was great. The second night not so good. Restaurant and bar were closed, which is ok. The tough thing was not able to to enjoy the fire or TV. Stuck in room with nothing. Very disappointed in the way we were treated when we went to watch TV. Sat in our room, too cold to walk to another bar and also worried about not having a parking space when we would come back.

All the people whom are part of The Inn make you feel like family. The home is a beautiful historic place to settle. The food is excellent and the property so quiet with only the sound of the river to hear

Great place to stay when you want to unplug & unwind. Inn keepers very helpful and personable. Wonderful service, and Holly makes a great cocktail! Definitely make a reservation for dinner at The Inn Restaurant. Delicious meal, in addition to the great breakfast every morning.

We loved this Inn. We stayed here for a weekend in March while skiing at Jay Peak with our 13 and 15 year old sons. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They accommodated our late arrival on Friday night. You felt like you were visiting and staying with a family, but they weren't all over you, they gave us our space but were attentive to our needs. We enjoyed breakfast both mornings in the dining area and spent Saturday evening in the living room with some hot drinks from the bar, watching basketball, and playing board games. My son played the piano. We didn't eat dinner in the restaurant as it was pricey and the food was a bit too eclectic for our teenage sons. There were 2 dogs! It was quaint and our room was clean, well decorated, and cozy. The beds were comfortable. It was so nice to be in our room and the common room and look out the window and see it snowing. It was very New England. It was an easy drive, about 15 minutes, to the mountain. The little town the Inn was in looked cute. There were a few shops and restaurants, not too much, but we didn't have any time to explore it as we were really just there to ski. We would go back, for sure.

We stayed after our plans to Nova Scotia were canceled due to hurricane. We were very fortunate to find something available on short notice. The food was excellent and the staff felt like family. Holly, the bartender, makes a great Pumpkin cocktail for fall. Place was very quiet for sleeping. Easy access to stores/bars within walking distance. Nick also gave us ideas of what to do in the area. I left a new coat there and Jason was very nice and mailed it back to me.

Who would have expected to find ostrich and kangaroo on the menu in an inn in the northeast corner of Vermont? The varied menu included other interesting choices as well--including a spicy Thai beef that lived up to its "are you sure you like spicy?" billing. Everything was delicious. There were some inventive cocktails on the menu too. The Inn has a warm atmosphere--lots of nooks and interesting art and artifacts to admire. We just popped in for dinner, but it looked like a nice place for a weekend getaway as well.
