Stay one night in a Heritage building, staff are friendly, nice breakfast and easy to get parking just outside the hotel. Room looks nice but with smell and weak shower.

Unique experience staying in a 400 year old Inn Staff were very friendly and helpful, very accommodating. Service in Bistro was very good. Considering we arrived later in the evening of a very busy night the Lass on service did a great job. As did the young fellow on Reception. The food was delicious, Though Medium Rare was a bit rarer than I like, it was delicious and the Sauce was terrific. The room its self was quirky but comfortable Dodging the beam across the room was interesting . But Funny. It is 400 years old . Lol The morning staff were also excellent so all in all a lovely and memorable experience. Go there it is truely a unique experience.

Excellent old time coaching inn reception friendly and good walks to be had, did the castle and church within walking distance I would come back was work trip today but return with wife for a base to explore the surroundings. Free parking and friendly staff

Booked an evening table for 2 . On arrival the place was very untidy with swarms of flies inside the eating area. This totally ruined our meal though not all the fault of the restaurant . The tables we could see around us were not cleaned properly as ours had food remains from previous visitors .Some of the bottoms of the chairs were caked in old food. The outside area was not cleaned or cleared up which I believe encouraged flies to gather. I paid £26.50 for a surf and turf . The description did not match the dish as the prawns were meagre and portion size was small. The service there were very good all considered.

We only popped in for lunch ...but we had a lovely lunch and drinks serve up by the brilliant ladies behind the bar and the waitress . The food was hot , nicely cooked and the staff were very friendly, polite and made us feel very welcome

We loved our stay and would have loved to stay longer. Our room was at the top of the building. A few stairs to reach it but worth it. Cosy, clean and well appointed with everything you would need. Bed was so comfortable and super pillows (both firm and soft to chose from). All the staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly. Our group were looked after by Ben and we all thought he was wonderful. Nothing was too much t trouble here. The food was very good with good portions and lovely setting in the Bistro. Gluten free was not a problem, my battered fish and chips and messe starter made the most delicious meal I have enjoyed for a very long time! Everyone at our table was impressed and commented about the quality of their meal. The chef here is so friendly too and focused on excellence. You will feel at home here. The whole of Montgomery has a special feel to it. Really good to relax and unwind. The Dragon is the hub for most people, it is alive and full of what we seem to be missing in our busy lives.

We stayed as joining friends for 60th Birthday and couldn’t fault anything, everyone was friendly, helpful and I’m sure if anything had happened during our stay it would have been sorted. Would return to hotel and recommend to friends & family. Oh and one of the best Breakfasts I’ve had Perfect.
