Hotels in Barrio Sur, Montevideo

The location is perfect, if you are travelling in and out of Montevideo by bus. And at 50$ per night it is a bargain. Otherwise try and stay somewhere else. The hotel is not a 4* by all means. Noone speaks a word of English (I do speak broken Spanish, still difficult), housekeeping never showed up. I checked out one day early and although I sent an official request from booking and asked at reception, they took the whole amount.

Apart from being a great location close to departmental transport and the hotel including the rooms are very clean the staff are extremely friendly and courteous plus they go out of they way to help - This is are second time stying in the hotel and we would highly recommend it

Although it is a comfortable space to rest without restrictions, the cleanliness and facilities are a bit disappointing. In particular, the kitchen needs to replace basic cooking tools. The frying pan was very uncomfortable because there was no handle. I hope that the basic seasoning, salt and pepper, is ready. However, the advantage of this hostel is that you can use hot water at a very good water pressure for 24 hours. It's okay to stay for a short time.

The criticism should not be used for verbal aggressions, but for improving the establishment, and in my case we bought the package by CVC and that was not exactly what we bought. The hot record of the shower is almost impossible to close it so hot, it burns your fingers, the input bank is really full of alphabet, wines, cakes and similar, there is no space for signing the input sheets. The bathroom has a glass-only bathroom where it is so wet as it is dangerous until it slitters, the towels are fine to use so much.

Hotel with good cost-benefit. It is located in the central region, which has made our walks too easy. The lobby of the hotel is very cool and beautiful. It is an old building and so its lift is small and its door is very noisy. We hosted a triple room in the 5th floor and the room was ”closed” to the lift where the noise of every time the door of the lift was closed, besides having no sound coating and all the movements. The beds were very comfortable and there are TV channels from all countries (including Globo International and Record), air conditioning, safe and fridge. The bathroom is small and there is no place to hang the towels mainly after the bathroom, i.e. there is a need for daily exchange. It can be dispensed with shampoo and shower gel inside the box - which is glass - (conditioner was broken) and dispensed with liquid soap in the washing room. The room was very comfortable, but nothing special (I missed the mosquito eggs, sincerely! I had only cooked eggs!). Wi-Fi was not working inside the room - I don't know if it was because we were on the 5th floor, but we only got connection at the reception (terreo). Very educated and requested officials.
