I had business in the city of Florence but chose to stay in the countryside. At about 20 minutes away, the Gatto Biano B&B in Montesperloti was perfect. I am genuinely surprised to find myself writing it's first review in TA (I think it's another sad indication that TA is losing relevance in the travel world) because there are rave reviews on sites like Booking and others. This place is GORGEOUS. It's in the middle of vineyards and hayfields with olive trees scattered around. It produces it own wines. The rooms and villas are utterly charming and spotlessly clean. The pool is large, sunny and clean, some villas have outdoor private jacuzzis, the breakfast patio transforms into a wine bar in the evening. The bathrooms are immaculate and the water pressure in the showers invigorating. The complimentary toileteries, two bottles of water in the mini fridge and daily maid service are more typical of a 4 star hotel. However it is a B&B and the only meal servied is breakfast. They offer a cold breakfast spread with local fruit, grains, yoghurt and pastries, fresh honey (literally dripping from a honeycomb in front of you) and a selection of (I think) home made fruit jams and compotes. They'll make you eggs or bacon and offer unlimited coffee if you ask. But the very best thing about this place is the Manager, Davide, and his team. They make you feel like guests at their home. Davide is kind and friendly and you can immediately tell that his hospitality is genuine. I couldn't ask for better and I will be back. My only warning is for people with hayfever. Don't deprive yourselves of this experience but oh boy in the summers will your allergies be triggered. Don't forget to bring your meds.

Ho soggiornato una notte con la mia famiglia e devo dire che è stato tutto perfetto camere belle e pulite la locazione è tenuta molto bene, la piscina per i momenti relax è davvero comoda. La colazione è super anche se prenotando con booking si paga a parte euro 10 a persona ma ne vale la pena. Unica pecca è la strada un po serrata per arrivare ma noi non abbiamo avuto problemi

Very beautiful location that offers its best in good weather. Davide, the resident manager, very helpful and hospitable. Ideal place to disconnect from stress and recharge your batteries. Breakfast good but international and not typical Tuscan. Clean rooms except for the shower which also had a malfunctioning spout.

Affable, helpful and "professional", he put himself at our complete disposal. The apartments are spacious and well looked after. The view of the surrounding forest is truly priceless. The only noises, if they can be defined as such, are the chirps of the many birds present. If you are lucky you may have a fleeting encounter with foxes, hares, wild boars, roe deer, mofettes, as well as herons and ducks that live in the nearby stream. Centrally located with respect to the major centers of Tuscany, it is certainly recommended for groups and families. The breakfast offered is complete and fully satisfactory. A special mention to the scrambled eggs with bacon, which Davide cooks on the spot. At guests' disposal there is a well-equipped barbecue area with ping pong and table football. If you want to stop for a lunch or aperitif in the structure, the choice of cured meats and cheeses, as well as craft beers, will give you great satisfaction.
