We had a good experience at the hotel. The room and bathroom were spacious and spotless. The outdoor seating, diverse breakfast options, and quiet hillside location were all pluses. The view was magnificent. While the hilltop setting was a challenge, the hotel does offer an hourly shuttle service, though more frequent runs would be preferable. The dining staff were pleasant, but the reception staff could have been more helpful and welcoming. We weren't informed about the hotel's beach/train discounts or their food service, which we discovered independently. There was a lack of complimentary water. Bottled water was available at the standard €1.50, unlike other hotels we stayed at which offered free water and refills. This would have been nice since our journey to the hotel was quite long, involving a four-hour train ride and transfers to La Spezia, Monterosso, and then the hotel shuttle.

Der Shuttleservice runter in das Dorf und wieder hoch hat prima funktioniert, wir sind aber auch gerne gelaufen.

Pleasant and helpful staff. Good selection at breakfast. Room very clean. Excellent shower. Would have liked coffee/tea making facilities. Shuttle bus very efficient but hourly makes things a little restricted. Further out of Monterosso than expected. No way could we walk to or from hotel.

Beautiful hotel located in an oasis of calm!
The most beautiful hotel in an oasis of calm.
Around a km from the centre of Monterosso which we were so pleased about as in July/August Monterosso is rammed with tourists. It was lovely to hop on the complimentary shuttle bus and be transported to the hotel where we could relax and recharge before going again.
The staff were so helpful and unobtrusive, the breakfast very good and we had the most beautiful room with a breathtaking view. What’s not to like!
