This is a 3-star hotel in a stunning location. The pool area is beautiful. The breakfast buffet is good and served on the terrace with an amazing view. However, our room was very outdated and worn. It is super close to the hiking trail. I loved Monterosso; it is the best town in CT.

We decided to stay in Monterosso, for the beach, and this was the nicest hotel we could find in the area. It is a 3-star hotel, with a 5-star view. The rooms are dated, and the bathroom was not good, as the shower was extremely small. We loved the pool area, which had lots of seating options, and the most beautiful view. The breakfast buffet was great, and the service in the pool area was good. Do not underestimate the elevation required to walk to and from this hotel. It is a very steep and long walk. I know there are shuttle services, but it did not feel that convenient, so we always walked. This walk would be difficult to impossible for someone with mobility challenges. We did take a taxi back and forth when we had our luggage, and the hotel was happy to coordinate that. The location and the pool are why you would choose this hotel. You can walk out the hotel gate right onto the hiking trail. We didn't use the beach, as it wasn't that convenient.

On a 3 month holiday in Italy, Cinque Terre was one of the places we were most excited about visiting. Originally booked into a hotel in Manarola but changed at the last minute and sooooo glad we did. First, this is the best location. Located just out of Monterosso, at the start of the Blue Trail, you are removed from the crazy crowds in this region but close enough to access everywhere. Service was exceptional. All staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. Beautiful pool area and great access to the beach. Room was spacious and beautiful. Due to late booking, we changed rooms during our stay from a standard balcony room to suite on the top floor and would highly recommend the extra money for this room. Modern, very spacious and your own large private balcony with lounge chairs for privacy. Finally, dinner in the restaurant overlooking Montorosso was one of our best meals in Italy. Highly recommend this hotel and this region. Cannot fault.

Com certeza o número 1 de Monterosso. Está localizado no alto, no final da cidade e tem uma vista espetacular para o mar e cidade. Café da manhã dos deuses. Restaurante lindíssimo com ótimo a lá carte. Todos funcionários muito atenciosos. Nosso quarto era excelente, mesmo sendo o mais básico. Transfer incluso e com muita emoção na chegada. Piscina incrível! Enfim, lugar de sonhos.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Amazing experience. Our room had a balcony overlooking the sea. Great breakfast buffet overlooking the sea each day. The taxi …provided by the hotel….did pick up and drop off to the train station. The pool was wonderful with sea views. We had dinner at the hotel our first night. We got the seafood spaghetti with a bottle of wine. Delicious! The walk up to the hotel will be strenuous for out of shape people or those who don’t walk much. I’m sure those can take a taxi. We walked the trail to Vernazza which was stunning. Lots of ups and downs, steps and is strenuous in spots. Stunning views like the pictures show. Friendly staff everywhere. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Highly recommend.

We only stayed one night here, but thought it was absolutely beautiful. Our room had a private balcony overlooking the water. The hotel property is right near entrance to Cinque Terre trail. The food at the pool was great and so was breakfast. The staff was friendly. We would love to come back.

My wife and I spent two nights at the Hotel Porto Roca. Its a top flight hotel with an absolutely amazing view of the Cinque Terra coastline. The hotel offers a very nice breakfast with seating on the terrace overlooking the sea. The staff of the hotel were great, very helpful. The room was a bit small but comfortable, with a little balcony to enjoy the outside air. The pool area is off the charts with its own unique view down the coast. When we return to Monterosso, our favorite town in Cinque Terra, we will definitely stay at HPR again.

Beautiful location and setting with fabulous views of the surrounding area and plenty of quiet and privacy. It has a resort kind of feel to it which is ideal if you’re wanting to relax and unwind, however it is isolated and can be difficult to get to. The breakfast service was excellent and there are a wide variety of options available to please just about any pallet. The rooms are decorated in a modern and contemporary style which may or may not appeal to a traveler. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall we were more than satisfied with our experience.
