Abbiamo alloggiato in questa struttura verso la fine del cammino della Via Francigena.E stata una meravigliosa scoperta… un posto magico che ci ha lasciato senza parole! Locali appena rinnovati e buonissima pulizia!

Abbiamo preso una camera con bagno direi pessima inquanto dopo la doccia il bagno era completamente allagato causa le tendine doccia insufficenti e lo scarico intasato ,un solo telo doccia per 2 e un sapone, direi da rivedere qualcosina un ostello si ma dai prezzi alti si deve dare di piu se di vuole di piu.

Accoglienza pessima, abbiamo dovuto attendere fino alle 18 per entrare. Ero in una camerata, di 8 persone docce e bagni in comune senza alcuna divisione tra uomini e donne, le docce non funzionano ed esce acqua da tutte le parti! 1 solo sciamano per tutto.. per ospitare dei pellegrini l’accoglienza dovrebbe essere un po’ meglio! Basterebbe poco per migliorare, ma visto le recessioni precedenti credo che la situazione non cambi!

L'ostello è ospitato dal monastero dell'Abbazia. La ristrutturazione molto curata ha ottenuto un ambiente funzionale nel rispetto della monumentalità del luogo. Camere pulite con letti a castello, numerose prese, bagni grandi e comodi anche per più persone. Ottimo impianto di riscaldamento, da regolare autonomamente in ogni camera. Accoglienza sbrigativa ma comunque collaborativa. Peccato la scarsità (per non dire la mancanza, nei giorni festivi) di strutture di ristorazione nelle vicinanze e di collegamenti pubblici con Monteriggioni. I pezzi sono modici, considerata la bella struttura, e tariffe speciali per i l'ospitalità pellegrina lungo la via francigena. Il nostro cane, molto tranquillo, di taglia media, è stato ben accolto.

Visita durante un viaggio organizzato, abbiamo solo visitato il complesso, il museo e mangiato al ristorante. Le strutture sono incantevoli, anche se in fase di ristrutturazione. Ristorante molto buono: ci servono salumi e formaggi tipici, bruschette, tagliatelle al cinghiale, pasta e ceci, fegatelli di maiale lardellati (mai mangiati, molto buoni), cantucci, panforte e ricciarelli. Anche il chianti molto buono.
