Stelle di Monte

After spending time in Venice, Lake Como, Cinque Terre, Lucca, and Florence, my wife and I ended up in the most amazing place, Stelle Di Monte, in Montepulciano!! Not only was property stunning but the scenery was spectacular!! On top of that, Nathalie and Igor, the owners of the romantic retreat, were so gracious and hospitable. To top it off, Igor is an incredible chef, as he made dinner for us one evening, along with making breakfast each morning!! We also can't forget about the excellent wines we enjoyed while we were there! It was so special to be able to walk out our door, sit out back and watch the sun set as the views were stunning! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to meet Igor and Nathalie, and spend 3 nights at Stelle Di Monte. The ONE thing we know for sure is, we would LOVE to come back again!!!

Your stay in the Stelle di Monte will be an unforgettable experience. In addition to the magnificent views of the Italian Toscany and Monte Pulcciano, the exceptional hospitality provided by Nathalie and Igor is unparalleled. We strongly recommend that you enjoy at least one dinner prepared by the chef Igor while watching the sunset in the hotel courtyard. The vineyards and town of Monte Pulcciano are less than five minutes away. If you don't have a reservation for a wine testing, Nathalie can assist with bookings at local vineyards, which come highly recommended for experiencing the region's authentic wine.

You never know what to expect when you see nothing but five star reviews, but Stelle De Monte lived up to expectations. The location is exceptional with a stunning view and a comfortable walk into town, the staff were warm and welcoming, the rooms and all the small touches around the property were beautiful, the dinner and breakfasts were outstanding. There was nothing I didn't like about Stelle Di Monte, perhaps only that my stay was too short.

I stumbled upon this small family owned hotel while researching our 10th anniversary trip to Italy. We wanted to spend some time in the Tuscan hill towns, and chose Montepulciano as our base. WOW!! I cannot say enough about this hotel. Nathalie and Igor have a slice of heaven here. They greeted us upon arrival and Igor gave us a thorough tour with history of the property and it's restoration. They poured their heart and soul into this place and it does not go unnoticed. Every detail is amazing! The views of Montepulciano cannot be beat and we enjoyed sitting out back and relaxing to take it all in. The room was by far the nicest with comfortable bed, spacious bath, shower and tub. There is in room coffee and they provided a bottle of wine for our stay. Breakfast is included with room rate and it is amazing with fresh juice, coffee and pretty much anything you would want. If you go, DO NOT MISS the dinner that Igor prepares, as it was the best dinner we had in all of Italy!! The hospitality shown by Nathalie and Igor made us feel like family. I would not hesitate to book this hotel every time we go to Italy.

We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay during our tour of Tuscany. The property and views are amazing. Very beautiful, comfortable and welcoming. Rooms were spacious, clean and beds were very comfortable. The hosts were always available and strived to make sure that all needs were met in a timely fashion. We would definitely return in the future.

We spent a month in Italy, staying in Florence, Lake Garda, Manarola, Porto Venere, Montalcino, and Montepulciano. Everywhere we stayed was beautiful, but Stelle Di Monte in Montepulciano was, by far, our favorite spot! Nathalie and Igor have created the perfect retreat. The rooms are full of character, and the breakfasts were only matched by the scenery, as we were able to enjoy our meal outside while overlooking the valley and in view of Montepulciano. If you have the chance to eat dinner at the property, you must try to reserve the "Private Dining in the Heart of the Wine Cellar"! It was the most romantic dinner of our entire trip, and Igor's cooking was flawless. We stayed at properties costing twice as much, but Stelle Di Monte was the best of them all. We hope to return one day!
