A very traditional Tuscan hotel. Although it may be very different from domestic hotels, it is a very well-maintained hotel with local characteristics and rich cultural heritage. Don't read the bad reviews, such as there is no TV in the 21st century and a bunch of fat tourists confused by consumerism. El servicio al cliente del hotel es realmente pésimo. Excusan cualquier mala experiencia en “la sostenibilidad”. Al llegar a la recepción nos dieron 2 números diferentes de servicio para la habitación, ninguno de los cuales funcionaron cuando el aire acondicionado no funcionaba a la 1am. Al día siguiente hicimos el reclamo y se limitaron a decirnos que no habíamos leído bien las políticas de la reserva y que el hotel es sostenible, automatizado, y supuestamente no tiene errores. Sin embargo… es falta de atención a los detalles. A nuestros amigos les cobraron 4x la tasa de impuestos y el hotel no solo no reconoció el error sino que además intentó hacer cobros adicionales. El hotel es bien ubicado cercano a Montepulciano, habitaciones cómodas a pesar del problema con el aire. El desayuno es pobre, tostadas de paquete y café.

De ligging van het hotel is echt prachtig – midden in het mooie Italiaanse landschap, en met een zwembad erbij is het plaatje compleet. De kamers zijn ruim en mooi ingericht, wat een pluspunt is. Helaas mist het hotel totaal de sfeer die je zou verwachten op zo’n mooie plek. Er is nauwelijks personeel aanwezig; alleen een paar uurtjes per dag zie je iemand rondlopen. Voor de rest voelt het hotel leeg en bijna verlaten aan. Een drankje doen zit er niet in, tenzij je iets uit een automaat haalt. Bij aankomst kregen we een lijst met extra’s die je kon bijboeken, zoals bloemen op de kamer, een fles wijn of een luxe ontbijt. Op zich prima, maar het gaf ons eerder het gevoel dat je voor elk klein extraatje moet bijbetalen. Het inbegrepen ontbijt viel zwaar tegen en leek vooral een marketingtruc. Koffie uit een automaat, niets vers, alleen droge, voorverpakte producten en een smakeloze croissant in een plastic zakje. Ze noemen het een “Italiaans ontbijt”, maar dit hebben wij in heel Italië nog nergens zo treurig gezien. Uiteindelijk zijn we maar in het dorp gaan ontbijten.

Good service, but very poor room hygiene I stayed one night at the hotel. While the staff was friendly and the service was good, unfortunately the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. There was a rotten sock under the bed and hair from previous guests on the floor and in the bathroom. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned. As someone who has worked as a housekeeper, I know how essential basic hygiene is in a hotel room — this should be a top priority. Additionally, the pool area had no restroom available, even though it was crowded with guests. A bathroom in that area is a basic necessity.

Un bon point pour la propreté et la taille de la chambre, moderne, pour l'immeuble lui-même et sa situation exceptionnelle. Dommage que le petit déjeuner ne soit pas à la hauteur avec uniquement des produits industriels sous blister, rien de frais !!
