Round Hill Hotel & Villas

Very luxurious hotel with elegance and timeless charm. A lot of steps so wouldn’t say disabled friendly but very nice for a wedding

For my girlfriends birthday a total of six of us rented a villa here. The villa was nice with three bedrooms accommodating all of us comfortably. We had a staff daily that prepared us breakfast as well as cleaned the villa. We also had our own private pool that made for some interesting activities after dinner. They also have a restaurant, spa & pool with beach front. A concierge that could plan daily activities in Montego Bay and we hired a van with driver for the entire stay. If you go I would recommend book directly with the hotel rather than a travel agent who used a third party Classic Vacations. Also use Club Mobay for navigating the airport and lounge use well worth the money. The Villa comes bare no drinks or food for snacking late night and room service is expensive a bottle of Don Julio was $450. Also no tv or microwave. And if you go to dinner in their restaurant they automatically add 18% gratuity and another 10% our server said was tax which I didn’t see elsewhere in Montego Bay. That’s 28% added and I still haven’t tipped the server so I felt that was enough so unfortunately nothing for her other than share the 18% with restaurant staff. If you have a mobility problem this is a problem you have to go up stairs with no railings. My girlfriend used the spa and they charge you by how much pressure is applied . 🤷 The staff was friendly as are most Jamaicans but if something goes wrong they won’t correct it especially if it involves their money as what happened at a restaurant in Montego Bay. Overall the trip was memorable. One love ❤️

Our family just returned from a four stay stay at Round Hill in one of the 3 Bedroom Signature Villas. All the villas appear to be privately owned and managed by the hotel. Our villa was just superb with top quality furnishings and artwork, panoramic views, incredible tropical landscaping and a beautiful pool, and our family loved it. It was fairly far, and uphill, to walk from the villa to the lobby/beach, but the bell staff would send carts and they were very prompt. We ended up spending a lot of our time hanging around the villa just enjoying the privacy and the views. Overall the resort has a "retro" vibe with B&W photos of famous guests over the years, and Ralph Lauren's influence is evident (he is a board member and villa owner) . We particularly enjoyed the complementary high tea each day at 4p,. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful and really embodied the Jamaica vibe. Our villa included breakfast made at the unit by the staff each day which was superb and really started the day off right. The food and beverage standards and prices are quite high, as one would expect for a resort of this caliber on a Caribbean island. The wine prices seemed especially high compared to what one would pay for the same bottles in the US. The restaurants in Montego Bay proper are very average, and the traffic in town is terrible, and the taxi prices are high, so we would not recommend going off property to eat, unless you are going to Sugar Mill at Half Moon, which unfortunately is on the opposite side of MoBay from Round Hill. Fortunately the F&B theme changed every night so the dining did not get repetitive. I would say the main negative of the resort would be the beach. It is adequate but not the idyllic white sand Caribbean beach that one might get other places, which is really out of their control. It sits in a cove and is a bit rocky with some seaweed and grass growing on the bottom. There is a coral reef right offshore which allows for nice snorkeling. The positive of the Round Hill beach is that it is private and restricted, so you don't get hawkers and other types walking by trying to sell you things like we've experienced other places (e.g. Baha Mar in the Bahamas), or having to worry about your stuff getting stolen. The infinity pool adjacent to the beach is quite nice. Overall our family loved it and we all agreed we would go back.

My family and I just returned from our four day trip to Roundhill. It was our first time in Jamaica. Our time at Roundhill exceeded our expectations. The villa staff were exceptional. They catered to our dietary restriction without a problem and they prepared a wonderful breakfast every morning. The view from our villa was amazing. The food was delicious throughout our stay. The beach BBQ was our favorite as far as food and fun atmosphere. It is a truly relaxing environment. The resort furnishing, dining room area and bar were so elegant. I can’t speak highly enough of Roundhill. Can’t wait to come back!

Round Hill is lovely and you can tell from being there it is a place families return again and again. Staff is fantastic and we enjoyed every interaction with each of them. Overall, there is a premium exacted at every turn, which we don't love. Staying at expensive places, you sort of know what you're getting into but here it felt a little bit extra...there are so many staff catering to you, which is nice but there is a definite air of expectation that you are tipping each one of them - AND there is a 10% tax and 18.5% gratuity on most everything...but staff will say that gets split amongst everyone so then tipping on top of that becomes routine. We were told that prices went up a little over a year ago and with what we spent for 1 week here, not sure we would go back when there are so many other wonderful options. What you get for the money perhaps feels a bit more 'in line' elsewhere, unless you had the sense of nostalgia for this place, which we do not.

The hotel rooms, beds, villas, staff, views, beach and pool…really this property is amazingly beautiful with exceptional service!
