My family and I went for cousin 50th birthday celebration, so I was about 50 family and friends. From the time we enter the resort everyone was so welcoming and sweet. We was greeted with good morning by everyone we saw. This is my 3rd time to Jamaica and this resort had the best employees, they was so friendly, all of them up bit smiles on their faces. I love the fact that this resort was not crowed. We got the room with butler service which was the best thing ever, I was so happy that we paid for it. Our room was an apartment, we had 2 rooms, 2 bathroom, washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, lost of closet space, we had 2 balcony, living dinner room and kitchen. We stated in Building B which had it own coffee cafe with a view, which you get fresh coffee and pastries everyday, so you did not even have to go breakfast if you a light eater. The pools and beach was empty for most of day, you can get seat in shaded areas. Don't forget about the Jamaican ice-cream, my son and I had it 2 or 3 times a day, we tried every flavor they had. Their so much more about the resort that I love, you just have to go and enjoy it for yourself. The only bad part of this resort the do not have any restaurants or snack bars open after 10 pm, but the do offer room service. But if you have a butler the leave a 8 pm the can leave food in your room for you or order outside food for you before they leave. Also, I did not like the type of rice the served with the rice a peas. I just need to give a big shout out to our amazing butlers Chantell and Alpochino, especially our girl Chantell, from the day we met her she was so sweet and warm to us. We connected with her right away. She was so helpful on everything we asked about, she even helped out 2 others rooms who had butlers. they both made sure text us, in the morning when they get to work and before the leave. Chantell would meet us everyday in the morning before she left. If you got there please request her as your butler. PLEASE CHANTELL NEEDS A RAISE AND SHE NEED TO BE RUNNING MANAGMENT OR SOMETHING AT THE RESORT SHE IS THAT GREAT! I will be booking this resort again. Thank you for a wonderful peaceful vacation!

My family and I just returned from our second stay at the Jewel Grande. We had the 2BR OF deluxe suite. THE GOOD: The staff does a wonderful job at keeping the grounds immaculate. Our suite was spacious and cleaned daily. There were several different onsite restaurants to enjoy and a lot of variety. We found the food to be delicious. The staff was very attentive and helpful. Shout out to Shameka in dining and Andre in the gift shop. They were both very helpful and polite. THINGS TO IMPROVE: There were plumbing issues from the start. The water pressure was too high and the toilets were running (probably due to pressure). We did not have hot water one night. The faucet did not reach over the sink far enough, so the entire sink area would get wet. We had to constantly ask for face cloths (staff should leave at least 2 per day/guest). TIPS: Review & Book restaurants/excursions upon arrival. Before heading to the beach, ensure you have towel cards issued by the front desk to pick up towels from the towel hut located by the main pool.

I want to start on a positive note—the butler suites are fantastic, and the rooms are well-appointed. I have stayed at the Jewel Grand approximately three or four times in the past, and I've always had a pleasant experience. However, during my most recent visit, neither my guest nor I felt the charm we had previously enjoyed. Firstly, we were surprised to learn that room service incurs an additional fee, as we had not encountered this policy during our previous stays. Additionally, I requested to speak with a supervisor, but I was informed that one would reach out to us, which did not happen. Unfortunately, the level of professionalism from some personnel members was lacking during this visit, leaving me disappointed with my overall experience. Sincerely,

Absolute perfection! Our family visited the Jewel Grande last week and it was amazing! Our room was clean and beautiful, the food was great at every restaurant, and the best part was the wonderful staff. These are the kindest, most accommodating people we have ever come across during our travels! Jermaine is the best! He played ping pong (he’s the champ!) and cornhole with our family and added so much fun to our trip! He is the nicest guy and just so much fun! Special K at the sentry pool bar was awesome too! And Inez at the spa gave me the absolute best foot massage I’ve ever had in my life! The Himalayan salt room at the spa is beautiful! I highly recommend the Jewel Grande!

Fantastic experience, we didn’t want to go back home 🥲 the hotel has absolutely stunning views, plenty of restaurants and bars, neatly maintained beach area, adult and family pools, kids club, nightly entertainment- you name it! We stayed for the first time with our 7 months old baby, and I must say he adjusted there better than at home 😄 we had baby crib arranged in the room, in the restaurants we always had steamed options to offer first solids to our baby, and we had plenty of territory to walk around with the stroller. Our baby boy had his first swim in the pool and sea over there, so it was surely a very memorable experience. Oh, and we loved having a cabana by the beach - highly recommend to anyone out there. The convenience of having own space to rest while enjoying the butler service is totally worth every dime. Also, kudos to the chefs at Le Bouchon, Asian and Waves restaurants - the food was absolutely phenomenal! Buffet breakfast was equally great, plenty of options to choose from, and the little coffee place next to it had delicious ice cream and sweets served all day. We haven’t tried the other venues because of short stay, but I’ve heard great things about the Italian restaurant too. But apart from all of this, I must commend the staff: everyone, from bellmen and receptionists to housekeeping, servers, butlers and security - absolutely everyone had been very friendly, polite and attentive to our needs as young parents. Our baby got spoiled with attention received from everyone, at some point we felt Jamaica felt just like home ❤️ Thank you for this absolutely wonderful experience and we will surely be back!

The Jewel Grande Montego Bay is classified as a 4 diamond hotel. During my stay, one evening the room was inundated with swarming termites (both larvae and winged), which required the hotel to heavily spray the room and change the linen. I was also told they would also have to close the villa I stayed in upon my hotel departure. The hotel, however, did not provide an option to change rooms duringmy stay, instead stating that some compensation would be granted. I requested a one-night deduction and additional consideration for the inconvenience. However, the hotel has not met this request or offered any remuneration. Their apology alone is insufficient. The swarming incident was very distressing. This incident raises concerns regarding maintenance standards. Further, it is undeserving of a 4 diamond rating. The Jewel Grande was acquired by Hyatt hotels and it likes to boast that it is part of the Hyatt brand. However, it is not up to Hyatt habitability standards or its customer service standards. In this instance the Jewel Grande Montego Bay customer service was substantially sub-par relative to stays at other Hyatt properties, such as the Hyatt Ziva in Montego Bay. During my stay, I interacted with Andre Bryant (day manager) and Andrew Hall (night manager). They informed me that they informed Rory Shepard (Director of Rooms), and Jaap VanDam (General Manager) about the situation and the compensation request. As of now, the issue remains unresolved. This is unacceptable and insufficient. I will provide this information in writing to Jewel Grande Montego Bay and Hyatt hotels senior management. he Jewel Grande was acquired by Hyatt hotels and it likes to boast that it is part of the Hyatt brand. However, it is not up to Hyatt habitability standards or its customer service standards. I have been a Hyatt member for 20 years and have stayed at Hyatt hotels around the world including the Hyatt Ziva in Montego Bay. The quality of care in the upkeep of the Hyatt Ziva vs the Jewl Grande is worlds apart. My experience heretofore has also been that Hyatt honors their commitments to its hotel guests. It does not give guests the run-around, lie to them, or fail to promptly resolve guest matters. The Jewel Grande Montego Bay persons spoken to during my hotel stay were Andre Bryant who was told was the hotel day manager. Andrew Hall who I was told was the hotel night manager. They informed me that they informed Rory Shepard (Director of Rooms), and Jaap VanDam (General Manager) about the situation and the compensation request. All of these persons have failed me as a hotel guest as mo one has contacted me since my hotel departure.

Just returned from one of the best vacations my family and I have had in a long time, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. A special thank you to our amazing butlers Orrett and Suline, who went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and special. They were truly at our beck and call—always warm, attentive, and two steps ahead of our needs. 💫 The food? Absolutely delicious! And the entire resort staff was incredible—friendly, professional, and always willing to guide and answer questions with a smile. We felt relaxed, cared for, and genuinely appreciated. What more can you ask for in a getaway? All the best to this incredible resort and the beautiful nation of Jamaica. We’ll definitely be back! 🌴🌞💚 #JewelGrande #MontegoBay #JamaicaVacation #LuxuryResort #FamilyTravel #ButlerService #IslandVibes #TravelReview

We have stayed at this resort many times and this will be the last. The problem is with the management of the property. The actual workers/servers are fantastic- very friendly and accommodating. The indoor common spaces and restaurants are very hot- either no air conditioning on or just barely there., no fans or moving air. It’s uncomfortable to eat or be inside. ( The rooms air conditioning is good so sleeping is not a problem). They shut down restaurants when it’s very busy here and it’s very difficult to get into them. The dinner buffet is subpar compared to any resort we’ve been to so if you can’t get into a restaurant, the food choices there are minimal. This resort can and has been better. The decisions from the top level should focus more on the guests like it used to.
